Why do people like Dragon Ball Z so much?
I don't get it?
The character design looks kind of dumb, but the backgrounds look gorgeous.
How-ever, it's just mind-less fighting with very simplistic stories and characters.
The animation and fights are dragged to death, with low-budget animation and poorly choreo-graphed fights.
The soundtrack is meh...
The English Dub is really cheesy and exaggerated.
I'm not trying to sound like a hater, but I just don't get it.
I understand it's supposed to be a mindless fighting action-Shonen Anime, but with the retarded character designs, the poor animation and bad choreo-graphy, and the cheesy English dub, it just seems so goofy and hard to take seriousily.
I understand how it can be appealing and accessible to kids, but I don't understand the huge praise among the teenager and adult crowd of it.

actually if you watch the original it has while episodes in depth about friends and family as if they were real. gets u more in touch with them. not to mention some of the most epic fights ever bro. n I realize they shoot energy, kind of, but its more plausible than some random magic bs

Personally, I would prefer less buildup and more payoff, but the playoffs themselves in general are pretty good when you can finally see goku beat nappa and vegeta and frieza, or see gohan finally beat cell.

Dbz just has the tendency to be action packed when the fights start to get really heated. That excitement alone is enough to get people craving for more. Not to mention, just when you think you've seen it all, another villain enters the scene with much greater strength than the previous villain. *Cough Cough* Lord Beerus knockin' super saiyan 3s out with a single hit to the neck *Cough Cough*

Saiyan Saga Frieza Saga Android Saga Cell Saga Majin Buu Saga Each has their own story. Most animes are nothing but: Boobs, boobs, bigger boobs, bouncing boobs, Guy in the middle of awkward situations with boobs. Dagon Ball Z is the only good anime. You'd have to comprehend it first, until then, opinions are irrelevant.

Low budget animations? It was late 80's early 90's it first aired so it wasn't all like it is now. Just like video games graphics are so much better than they were ten years ago.
