How easy is it to 3 man VoG?
I've never done the vault of glass. I only play with friends, and I'm not interested in finding randoms. My friend and I have almost 2 manned Crotas End (we're very new to the game) and we can each solo up to Deathsinger, just haven't got past that yet but we're close.
Another friend of ours just hit level 22, and were waiting for him so that we can all do the vault of glass. I'm wondering how feasible it is at our skill level to 3 man VoG. What's your advice?
Edit: alright, some people says there's no possible way, others say it's easy... Wtf?

SPIRE CP: You need to protect 3 vex plates from Praetorians while a spire forms. This means there will be 1 person on each plate. The plates are pretty hard to defend when you are a lvl 32 by yourself, let alone having a 23 on one. But lets say after a while you finally open the Vault. CONFLUXES CP: Now you must defend 1 conflux from the vex sacrificing, this part can be done easy, but then after that, you must defend 2 confluxes from vex sacrificing, that means you must have 2 on left and 1 on right soloing it to even have a chance. Lets say you get past that, now you must defend 3 confluxes that means 1 person on each one again. Lets say by luck you beat that part. ORACLE CP: You now must kill 7 rounds of oracles, which are these glowing yellow things that kill the whole team if you leave them alive for too long. The first round starts off with 3 oracles, then 3 again for the second round, then after that it just keeps spawning more and more for 7 rounds. Now lets say you find out where the oracles spawn exactly and you are able to take them out all 7 rounds. TEMPLAR CP: Now one of you must grab a relic for the first time ever, and take down the Templar shield while the other 2 kill Oracles that spawn. Once the Templar shield goes down, a containment field will spawn around 3 members of the team, which in this case is all members of the team. You must break the containment field and then shoot the templar. So lets say after a really long time of finding out how to use the relic, your team is going to take a really long time to take down the templar. I'm also guessing since they will take a really long time, the Templar will enrage and spawn his Minotaurs. But lets say you do take him down. Gorgon CP: Now you have to either take the stairs behind the Templar all the way down, or go through the cave which is really hard to know where to go the first few times you do the VoG. But after you find your way to the Gorgon CP, you will have to find a way through without being caught by a Gorgon. Because if one person is caught by a gorgon, everyone dies. So lets say you find you way through without being caught. Now you must jump your way down from pillar to pillar till you reach the bottom of the jumping puzzle. Which again, takes a while to figure out. But now your down. GATEKEEPER CP: Now you get to the Gatekeeper, and you kill all the Goblins and Hobgoblins that can kill you really fast. Now you take out the Gatekeeper, and now you must go in portals and get 2 relics. So either you have to solo a portal and take down a gatekeeper on your very first try and get the relic, come out and cleanse, or 2 man a portal while your 1 man stays outside and try not to die. Then once you come out your other 2 team mates go to the other portal and one of the 2 people must solo it, while the other keeps it open, and you kill endless waves of minotaurs. Your teammate getting the relic must then come out and cleanse, then both members with relic must kill 3 Praetorians each, while your other teammate kills endless waves of minotaurs until the conflux disappears. So lets say, magic happens and you somehow do this. ATHEON CP: Now your team hides while Atheon comes out, and then right before he teleports your team, the Warlock must jump off while the other 2 get teleported. The Warlock will Self Rez and open up the Teleporter while killing as much Harpies as possible to get his Super back, 1 person will grab relic and take out the 3 enemies at the bottom of the stairs and the other guy inside will take out the oracles. Once the enemies at the bottom are dead, the guy with relic must cleanse the guy shooting oracles, then drop relic and shoot at oracle, but dont leave the relic down to long. Once all oracles are dead, the relic holder must go to the center platform and open a shield while the other 2 shoot at Atheon. Repeat until Atheon is dead. This is the only way possible to 3 man Atheon.

If you have 3 at least level 28 players with at least 1 sunsinger that knows exactly what they're doing, you [i]could[/i] do it. It will be very difficult, even on normal. I do no suggest attempting a 3-man VoG if you've never done it before. That is a feat for a experienced raiders.

Pretty much impossible without a sunsinger and 3 30+, Pretty easy with 3 32's I do with my friends every now and then.

Edited by RVEO_Cia: 4/7/2015 8:48:44 PMIts not to bad on normal. Revives make it pretty smooth. Hard is a different story. You can't cheese out Templar. Your whole team will need to be on the ground for Confluxes, and Oracle's. Found Verdict, Pretorian Foil, or corrective measure will shred Oracle's, try and get one if those before attempting hard. Templar you can wipe and go up. Have your shield bearer be a sunsinger, bladedancer, or defender. You will need the Res, invs, or bubble. The rest is normal up until Atheon. There your sunsinger will need to kill himself before EVERY times vengeance, then revive once the team is teleported. That's about it, enjoy your 3 man run.

Depends on your skill and knowledge of the raid. Since you're saying you guys are having trouble with CE which is the easier raid and never did VoG before I'd say you're going to have a very hard time :p

On normal it's really easy I was on my warlock and was the only 32 out of me and my 2 friends cuz they started new characters at atheon my 26 friend pretty much soloed portal with super good advice

If you've never done it before, it can be difficult. The Atheon part is impossible unless you either have a warlock with self resurrect or you can get on top of the map so that the game doesn't detect you as being in the room, and therefore doesn't teleport you. The VoG is all reliant on holding a certain point for a certain duration of time, all while taking down the health of the boss. It's not like CE, where you can take everything from afar, it's active fighting against enemies.

Easy until Atheon. However, with your team, as you have little to no prior experience, it would be extremely difficult. Atheon, the final boss, is impossible without a warlock if you have 3 or less people and/or you don't know the strategy. I'd say just find 2-3 more people or at least one more to attempt it with. If you are on xbox 360 I would be glad to help you out.

4 RepliesIt's not hard, if you know what you are doing. But if you have never done VoG I wouldn't recommend it. I have done it three man and we all had VoG weapons and knew what we were doing.
