Don't think I'm hating on you cause your not 32 but it will help a lot if your 32 cause as a 32 it takes me 2 gjallarhorn shots to take him down. As a 31 it took me like 3

Hm it really depends on a lot of things like the weapons you use, the rocket launcher you'll use, the timing of when to hit crota and when to leave him and the experience from using the sword and hitting crota Have you used the sword on crota before? if so then you probably know when to hit crota and when to leave him as soon as his shield comes back. you can use any primary that you like and its a lot better to have a sniper equipped in secondary. now heavy i would always suggest the Gjallarhorn if you have it but if not i hear Hunger of Crota does nice damage.

Thanks I have had some experience with the sword do you think hunger of crota then icebreaker would be good ?

Am currently working on this....Hunger is not enough. I've downed him (and seen a video by someone else) with combos of Hunger, flaming knife, Hunger, flaming knife, grenade- but had an issue with consistency. I think if you headshot him with one of the knives, he drops early, which is no good (by the time I got up there, only got in one sword blow). Now I'm working with a machine gun strat, which is more reliable for timing. Heavy impact machine gun down to 5% shield, flaming knife, grab sword, tripmine grenade. Can get him down, four sword blows. I just need practice now to do it multiple times.... Re: icebreaker- I'd be afraid of his shield regen without something with DoT (will regen within 0.75 sec).

Oh yeah the hunger of crota is very good but im not sure if two rockets are enough to down crota so maybe two rockets from hunger of crota and 1 grenade. icebreaker is good to clear out the crystal room which will be filled with hive enemies

Edited by FearsomeMonster: 4/7/2015 1:55:24 PMYou can do the step on and off bridge plate method (step on until see annihilator totem message, step off, back on when message disappears, until bridge has formed), getting sword (if lucky, swordbearer is attacking while you do this), jumping at the end and swiping across as bridge starts to disassemble. But there are also ways to jump/sword swipe across without forming the bridge. The Deathsinger is very difficult without gjallarhorn...took me a while to get that part down.
