Here are my ideas on how Jupiter and Saturn should look like.
Jupiter: An open field of grass with rivers and some fresh, green trees. Some days it's calm, sunny, and beautiful. Other days it's really stormy with gust winds, lightning, and tornados.
Enemies: Fallen, Hive, Vex, Cabal
Reason: Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system, that being said, with more land means bigger army. Plus they can get plenty of resources.
Saturn: A grand metropolis filled with skyscrapers and lit up buildings. (Kinda like a L.A, New York City, Las Vegas mix.)
Enemies: Fallen, Vex, Cabal
Reason: Saturn's rich and valuable technology can help them grow stronger and/or smarter.
Before you get all real on me, note: look at Venus.
Comment your ideas and opinions on how Jupiter and Saturn should look like.

3 RepliesUm Saturns landscape would make it hard to build on considering its gas

1 ReplyI like your Saturn idea but the Jupiter one maybe not so much. I imagin Jupiter to be like what warframe did, Since it is a gas giant and no knowable solid surface, warframe made it to where you don't fight on the planet but space crafts hidden in the clouds collecting the gas for fuel to stay up. Sooooo if Destiny did put it in as a playable world I think it would be awesome if the kabal was hiding its bigger and more powerful ships/armadas in the gassy space. And since we know vex hate kabal there would also be vex strong holds like there is floating above Venus. So you would fight on these big ships and such. Just my idea.

I'd like to see Jupiter with crippling environmental effects. Super harsh and effects that effect you and the enemy crazy enough to land. I would be into the immersive aspects of a place like that rather than a planet that looks like naboo or rivendale... We are fighting the darkness remember. All that said, as an illustrator myself keep the ideas coming.

1 ReplyI'm not going to rain on your parade. I like your idea. It's a video game. To everyone else saying your ideas suck, ignore them. Keep ideas flowing.

People try to be too realistic.

1 ReplyI hate seeing posts like this because I want to tell you, but I can't. Nice thoughts though.

2 RepliesEdited by MakeshiftBandit: 4/8/2015 9:39:06 AMOnly the planets within the inner ring were made habitable. The travelers space magic doesn't reach far past mars. Jupiter, saturn, they're all still gas giants in the destiny universe (as far as I know)

1 ReplyEdited by Sir Maximoose: 4/6/2015 4:40:47 AMOkay, no. Green fields? Metropolis? The planets around now are terraformed to a relatively realistic extent (except Venus, of course). Jupiter is a failed star, so there will be fields on its nonexistent solid surface when hell freezes over XD And there's a slight difference between Venus having a giant rainforest on it and Jupiter/Saturn having structures when they have no solid surface to support them.

3 RepliesThose planets are giant balls of gas. And the gravity on those (especially Jupiter) would be bone crushing. Literally if you were somehow able to stand on Jupiter you would flatten into a pancake. I wouldn't mind if we could play on one of the 70 moons that orbit those planets but if we actually end up standing on one of those planets somehow, then I give up. Then they will have completely ignored all realistic physics.

Both planets have tons if moons that can be made habitable by the traveler.

3 RepliesThese planets are gas giants so theyre just gas I know if they were in game theyd do something so you can walk there but jupiter would be full of storms and stuff
