Why do people say SGA for oracles?
Really?
So you play Atheon with Super Good Advice as your exotic weapon?
What a waste for an easy section anyway lol

For Atheon I run -
Epilogue (melts Oracles) or VoC
Ice Breaker - wastes Atheon
Corrective Measures - destroys everything

Yes I know what SGA's perk does, but it's only good for Oracles and shields in that part

4 RepliesYep, I love SGA for the oracles and black hammer for Atheon. Ice Breaker runs out of ammo on Atheon. With Black Hammer I can usually string together 10-12 critical hits. With weapons of light that about 200,000k damage.

It's good on oracles since it doesn't register that a SGA bullet hit the oracle causing it to continuously fire

I started using one in stead of my Ghorn since most of the Lfg teams I end up with struggle with oracles. I normally pick up the relic and with the SGA I can drop the relic and help out with all the oracles easily.

VoC/Timepiece/Epilogue for oracles Black Hammer for Atheon Corrective Measure for oracles and Atheon thats my preferred setup for Atheon

I don't see why people complain about fate ringer for oracles... If two people are using fatebringer you stay ahead of the oracles easily

So why would you use that as your exotic? For atheon I've found the best setup is VOC black hammer SGA/corrective measures/ghorn Never have any problems.

I don't have SGA so I use Thunderlord and it'll clear all the oracles in a wave with about 1/2 a clip. As for the icebreaker vs black hammer debate, I've used both, and at one point I was using a maxed black hammer while my buddy was using a maxed ice breaker. Black hammer was doing about 20k per hit while ice breaker was doing 14.5k. Also, as long as no one is using rockets you should be able to string critical hits on atheon with black hammer the entire time without reloading.

3 RepliesI usually run SGA because there are 5 other guys who can run an Atheon-killing exotic while I destroy Oracles. It's this fun thing called teamwork. Maybe you've heard of it. [spoiler]I also run Black Hammer which wrecks Atheons shit as long as you know how to aim xD[/spoiler]

2 RepliesSGA is very good for oracles as they just don't use up any ammo. However I have praetorian foil, which is one of the rarest weapons in the game, one shots oracles on normal, 2 in hard.

Like your last edit says. If you have BH you don't need IB so SGA is the next best exotic for Atheon. As long as people aren't chucking grenades.

I use Corrective Measure for oracles. I have SGA but I figure the oracle perk on CM works best.

Black Hammer does more damage than Ice Breaker. I use: Fatebringer/VoC Black Hammer Against All Odds/SGA

because if you miss with SGA it almost always puts that bullet back in your mag and oracles dont class as hit an enemy so you basically have unlimited bullets, you can clear an oracle room using 20 bullets basically
