Why do YOu do middle strat on norm

Edit 2. Was hoping this might cause some discussion since I hear a lot of people are bored of crota figured it might spark some interest on hm for some groups trying other strats.
Edit 3. I myself prefer left. Personal opinion but to each his own! And since I do both neither strat bugs me. Any other left or right strat groups?

1 ReplyPeople will say it is practice for hard mode, that's a load of crap. It is so much easier to do left strategy. You lose one guardian on boomer duty which is nothing. You control where the sword goes by staying left. You don't lose time trying to kill him letting ogres spawn. And you never have to worry about someone falling from the ledge on a misadventure. Want to practice for hard mode. Play hard mode you scrubs.

Left strat isn't easier. Prefer doing it like i do it on hard. Never take dmg no nees to worry about boomers. Team never has trouble downing the swordbearer.

3 RepliesIt's good practice for hard mode. Why have two different strats? Just use middle strat for both and only change which ogre room you go to. Keep it simple. I will still pop a bubble on the right side to attract boomer fire. Unnecessary, yes. Worth it to allow others to learn hard mode strat? Definitely.

I prefer left strat, but many groups like to use mid. So while they sit out at mid, I usually hang out further left

Honestly, it became a habit. I'm so use to running Crota that when we do it on normal, we even forget about the chalice, we still make orbs. Yup, out of pure habit.

I solo normal bc it's more fun that way no middle stat just bum rush the swordbearer with ghorn and swordbreaker

Because everybody cluster -blam!-s into the door on left. So for mid we go two on right window, two in middle and one on left which is me.

I'm not sure why you would do the hard/normal raid in a different way? Middle strategy is so efficient and easy it makes no sense to do it any other way. Is left strat easy on Normal? Yep, but middle is easier.

1 ReplyI dunno why these raid teams doing hard made strat for normal, maybe the are practicing but when with them it certainly doesn't feel like it! Players still dying, rockets shooting early when crota stands back up even the titan doesn't stay in the bubble! I could help them more if i wasn't nat typing lol

I do middle because I didnt raid untill a few months ago I was always shy. Its just what I know best. Its like I always sword crota from the right, i just feel more comfortable.

Muscle memory. I always go into the ogre room, and by the time someone reminds me it isn't necessary, I just whip out a Felwinter's and have a field day.

Personally, it doesn't matter to me as long as my team can drop crota so I can wreck him. We tend to mix strategies just because Normal has gotten that easy. To each his own as long as he dies.

I'll do middle or left on Normal, doesn't matter. Either way he's done before Ogres.

6 RepliesEdited by Racebum: 4/8/2015 1:27:17 AMit's an extremely easy strat. some people complicate it by running back inside when the truth is you can just hang out on the left ledge when crota goes right going left means you have to snipe boomers....this isn't necessary on the middle going left means you have to dodge thrall and the occasional boomer shot....this isn't necessary on the middle

1 Replyanything other than the middle strategy is just dumb. why stand underneath the boomers just to cause an inevitable oversoul. besides, middle strat prepares you for hard minus going below for ogres. the only different step is going to the right tower when its ogre time.
