But okay, to address a few points that have been made: First "in the military a machine gun of this size is called a LMG blah blah blah." Well LA de dah! Good for the military! This is not the military, this is DESTINY, a video game, not real life. Second: "in real life an HMG is mounted on a vehicle or some other stable platform!" Again, this is not real life, this is a video game! Our HMGs are mounted! They are mounted on our big burly space magic wielding guardians. We are strong enough and magical enough we don't need them mounted! Also as a side note I'm curious what people think of the machine guns in Halo that were mounted. Did they go from HMGs when they were mounted but when master chief ripped one off did it become an LMG? Third, "what about just machine gun, as that's what they are called in destiny." While yes, they are just called machine guns and I applaud your willingness to compromise, they are indeed still HMGs. The heavy part is implied because they go into the heavy weapon slots.
