Let's talk about MATCH MAKING RAIDS!?!
I've done the raid thing to the point where I have 3 of every gun (except hunger...only have 1) and I'm rocking 3 raid gear 32's. I think between all my guys I've done like 40-60 raid clears. Not a big deal in my book cause I've only started doing raids in January (I'm a alpha player but I only liked PvP up till January)
Now here's my question...why would it be a problem for match making to be added to the raid? If you don't want to be paired up with low lvl 'noobs' then stick to what you've been doing (raid team, lfg sites). It's like the weeklys....if I don't want to get stuck with a random, I jump on destiny lfg and look for someone that have the gear that I like.
Help me understand your POV on this topic....no childish BS pls.
Edit #1.....to the people saying no mics...bad idea comment....I'm saying you stick to what you have been doing....play with mic only people off ur friends list and lfg sites. When the random people get into the match making raid they will figure out they need a mic or it could be a prequirement to have mic before joining the raid.
Edit #2 I'm saying OPTIONAL match making of course. Bungie should add choices....never take them away. The weekly should be optional as well.

I'm not going to carry an AFKer I don't tolerate racism, sexism, homophobia or not coming in with a mic. A fireteam leader who can kick A-holes will be a must if they add matchmaking. Edit: A vote to kick system would work as well.

At first glance I would love there to be raid matchmaking. I myself can't seem to find one friend or person I actually know that plays on ps4 like me. I have made some random game acquaintances that have gotten me going on the raid side of destiny that I'm thankful for. But for someone still learning the ins and outs matchmaking would probably just end in frustrating mayhem. Let's face it, it really is no worse to just check a post or send invites to random 31/32s. Through a little networking before you know it you'll have your own list of go to peepz and no need for match making.

I think in the future they will be forced to bring in Raid Matchmaking. Especially if this game is suppose to run for many years. BUT... They could by-pass this idea by making in game clan function. Or add a room to join with a leader to add who they want. They can toggle over the players name and see they're load out. I played World Of Tanks for about 4 yrs now. But not on there much atm. I play Destiny on PS4 since my PC is dying. But I don't see why they don't have such functions in game from the start knowing people will need to make up teams.

I'm a person who hasn't done many raids since I don't have a group to do it with, or any friends consistently online, and I disagree greatly with raid matchmaking. Raids are something that you should do with groups that have chemistry together, or at least can choose who you want to raid with. Raids with randoms go wrong most of the time, and this would just cause more and more raids to go wrong.

You seem to contradict yourself. At one point you say like the weekly heroic. In a later edit, you backtrack and say optional.

They should at least add some kind of LFG functionality within the game so we don't have to use external forums or apps. At least let us be able to create searchable rooms for people to join up in.

Why do people keep saying this?i get where your argument is coming from but it's obviously meant for groups of friends with mica to use perfect teamwork.so matchmaking would ruin raids

Have fun doing Crota Hard with the mic-less, level 29 squeakers, who have no idea what they're doing, can't/won't take instructions and have terrible unleveled weapons. It only takes 1 or 2 out of 6 fireteam members to spoil everyone's time. There will probably always be at least 1.

The problem is you can't run without all 6 members if there are only 5 there will be some matchmaking involved for the last guy

Unless they put a massive... And I mean MASSIVE check list of stuff we want or don't want in our team then I'm not interested. Second of all, id rather solo the raid than play with a bunch of idiots so matchmaking also has to be optional. [spoiler]something they should of done with everything[/spoiler]

Implement matchmaking but make it optional. I have never played a console game that required you too use outside means to fully play the game you paid for.

match making for raids would be the worst idea ever. people need to stop bringing this up its not gona happen. just go on the forums and find a group its easy and takes 2 minutes.

What happens when you get put in a group over and over with no one capable of running sword? I think nightfall matchmaking would be fine but with raids no, because they are just too complex.

2 Replies[b]OR[/b] how about you just used LFG? Bungie already sucks at updating the game and adding content, so spending time on a matchmaking system would take time away from adding in things that are actually needed in the game.

2 RepliesMatch making would be a disaster. Unlike a strike where you can have a player be AFK for the whole thing and you can still complete it by yourself, if you have one person in a raid, there's tons of people who won't be able to complete it. Leaving players frustrated and if you get that one guy who doesn't know what he's doing or he's purposely causing you to wipe OVER AND OVER and you CANT kick him, you'd have to go in and out of match making over and over and over again and it would be a disaster. I'll pass
