Destiny Unfairly PvP, Needs PvE Equivalency
Destiny Exotic Bounties, Crucible "Marks", Factions, Iron Banner are Unfair! Don't Force Us to do PvP!
(Note: I removed the handicapped remark, bc that's not the point of this post, nor has any real bearing on the post. Please ignore that fact, and please don't send me pity-grams, or waste both our time making stupid remarks about life not being fair. That's not what this is about, at all! Nor is it about getting Free Gear! Stop the insane replies, please, and read the THREE Points?)
1) The Exotic Bounties (and these other areas) FORCE one to play PvP, and if you aren't able to slay in the Crucible - or you just hate the drollness of repeatedly killing the same people in a closed map (like me), you can't complete the Exotic Bounties, or get the Top Gear and Rewards! (This is completely and utterly unfair to Handicapped individuals). We should not be forced to play PvP fit any items, if that is our choice. ALTERNATE, PvE options should be offered!
We should not be forced to "Win" at PvP. Sure, I'll grind through some Crucible games, but don't take away my progress just because I'm upside down in matches! If we don't want to play PvP, offer us options of some PvE Bounty, instead!
2) Furthermore, the whole Faction system, which forces ALL CREDITS to be earned in Crucible, is also UNFAIR. We should be able to earn Crucible OR Vanguard credits, and both should Apply, as do the "Marks"! Why does "Reputation" combine, but "Marks" remain separate? Again, UNFAIR to players who do not want PvP or can not play PvP!
Bungie? Please address this as well?
( Again, please read the post without sticking on being handicapped! I'll leave this paragraph in only for historic reference!) We Handicapped can, if we can play at all, grind through the story and bounties, though it takes a lot longer than a fully functioning person. Dealing with people with fast reflexes and no Handicapped issues in the Crucible/Iron Banner, however, is not doable.
3) BTW, Bungie, make that the Third UNFAIR Area, is the Iron Banner and such, where people get better weapons and for for being just "super-slayers", but we slower players can't make such custom gear!
Bungie, you really need to address these areas, because they are Unfair to the (Handicapped) Masses such as myself!
Many of us only have video games as any real outlet, as we're not able to get out and do many of the things that non-handicapped people do - and it's many (my) only real social function we can still enjoy.

My Recommendations for Solutions:
1) Offer up PvE Bounty Options where PvP Bounties are currently the only way to certain gear.
2) Factions should accept PvE and PvP "Marks" combined, just as the Rep is combined, so people have a choice when they don't want to do PvP, but want Faction gear!
And,
3) Create a "Build Your Own Firearm OR Gear-piece" , where one can choose PvE or PvP bounties to fill in custom slots on a Firearm or Gear component !
Note: Stop sending stories about handicapped people, pity-grams, balking that anyone is asking for "free gear", OR making this into something about handicapped people - that is a side fact I wish I had never mentioned!
AGAIN, THIS POST IS ABOUT OFFERING PvE OPTIONS TO PLACES WHICH, CURRENTLY, ONLY HAVE PvP OFFERINGS, for the many, many people who don't want to be forced to pay PvP, for whatever their personal reasons...

Well I want my game to give me winning lotto numbers and a bj. Should I petition bungie or make a thread because it isn't happening? And you aren't being forced to do anything! Don't want to/can't do pvp? Accept that you won't get certain items. That's the game you bought. Don't like it, that isn't the game's fault! Try another game, I've bought plenty I didn't like and quit playing. I never complained to the developer to tailor it to my desires. Also, disability or no, you can do pvp. Just grab a shotgun and run full sprint into people. That's what everyone else does. And believe me, they're plenty disabled too, albeit a different kind.

I love how he didn't mention that at least 2 if not 3 exotic bounties don't require any PVP..if at all. (SGA/Invective/Pocket Infinity I think?) Get over your fear and get involved.... PVP can be fun if you got the right tools for the job. - It's starting to grow on me. :)

What you should do is visit the recruitment forum and ask people to help you out in pvp. I'm sure some people wouldn't mind helping someone who needs a little help.

I think the crucible is ok for some bounties. Thorn is a great weapon, that should take skill to get.

1 ReplyI think the marks should work like fraction does ie normaly it will be the same vangsurd or crucible but if you equip fwc will be fwc marks and every mark you would of got will go to that same as rep so gives you difrent options I agree all of the taking only crucible is a piss take !!!!

I don't see what the problem is making people do some pvp in exotic bounties it just shows the player has diverse skills

Edited by ArainMerentis: 4/4/2015 6:01:15 PMI took the time to read everything you said and I do understand where you are coming from, I to at the start had no intention of doing PVP I have never been good at it in any game and felt this game would be the same. However I would like to point out a few things. 1) Exotic bounties have a mix of PVP and PVE in them because it is a guaranteed thing all the game asks is that you put some time and effort into both. If you only want to do PVP or PVE then the only way you will get an exotic is from RNG it does not get any more fair than that. you have PVE bounties and PVE bounties so it is only natural that an Exotic would need you to dip into both since it is an Exotic after all. 2) Faction and Vanguard how is this unfair ? The vanguard are a faction that deal with the PVE side of the game, It is easer to rank up thanks for bounties which are easy as well as patrol missions. On top of that you also get like 400 vanguard reputation just for completing the Nightfall ( I may be wrong) Crucible rep and marks are much much harder to obtain if you win a match you get 6 marks and 13 reputation .. I think so you must play for ages to even level it up or get the marks to buy anything. This is why you have faction class items to help with the reputation at least allowing you to gain reputation for a faction the same way you would through the Vanguard. BUT all marks must still be earned in PVP. This is 100% fair since if you only want to PVE you have the Vanguard no reason you should be entitled to anything that is connected to PVP if you have no wish to play. 3) Iron Banner - I have taken part in the Iron Banner twice and made it to rank 5 both times, however I by no means see myself as a "super-slayer" or that I am any good. I practice I die and I slowly get better because I want to and my reward for it is being able to get Iron Banner gear, weapon and shaders which I earned. On the PVE side you have the raid, with each one containing its own set of legendary gear that get you to level 32 as well as special weapons just like the Iron banner. You protest and moan about the PVP side of things saying it is unfair yet you have completely ignored the fact that there is a PVE version for everything.

In that case I would say that everyone can't have everything, there has to be a reward system in place Anyways if you wanting exotics and can't play PvP that good then just do as others do go to xur This reads like all you want is hand outs, and that you don't want to put the effort in Equality should be for all, and all have the same chances of getting things in this game on the current set up

Personally speaking, I don't want to do PvP bounties either. But, I also don't need to collect every exotic in the game. I know what weapons I like and I either grind to get them or buy from Xur.

There's nothing forcing you to go in to pvp. Just abondon the bounties should you get one. This whole pvp this pve that is just codswallop, let each player decide how they want to play.
