Basically just the title, just bought it and think I wasted some coins; it didn't seem to do anything?
-
If yours was maxed at 300 attack than it will upgrade to 331. If it was already 331 than it would have been the biggest waste becasue it will do nothing
-
I smell a kinderguardian hehe they are so cute when they do silly things

1 ReplyI'm confused. Upgrades don't require coins.
-
7 RepliesIt was a mechanism brought into play to allow players to upgrade a 300 ATK version to the 331 ATK version. IF YOU HAVE THE 331 ATK VERSION IT DOES NOTHING BUT RESET YOUR PERK TREE PROGRESS.
-
Lol did you just upgrade your 331 thunderlord to 331? ( cool helmet on your warlock btw)
-
Why do people feel the need to answer the question when its already been answered 20 times
-
10 RepliesIt unlocks all perks so you don't have to level it up the long way
-
Maxes attack at 331 instead of 300 if yours was pre dark below you can upgrade it to 331
-
Lol. Turns a 300 damage weapon into 331. You forsure wasted a shard
-
It's meant to take pre-dlc guns from max 300 attack to max 331. It can also be used to re-roll armor for better stats, *if* Xur happens to offer an upgrade better than the one you have now, even at the same light level. So even if he's selling a crappy version of something it's possible to buy it now and upgrade later, since the odds of upgrades showing up are higher than for sale. It's expensive, but can really be worth it.
-
Sorry. Sounds like you did waste some coins.
-
5 RepliesUpgrades you from the old 300 damage model to the 331 one. Sounds like something you didn't need. It's not a shortcut to the upgrade tree as many seem to think. It sucks to keep reading these posts of people doing this. I wish there was something in place to stop them from upgrading a 331 to a 331. They just didn't know... :(
-
Think you wasted some glimmer and shards my good man.
-
The beast starts to spit out fluffy bunny rabbits. Epic!
-
Before the Dark Below all exotic weapons had a max of 300 damage but now they have a max of 331. So if you have a weapon from before the Dark Below that does a max of 300 damage, you can upgrade it to boost the damage to 331.

Had to post it. Sorry
Not Really...
5 RepliesEdited by EchoBase_: 4/3/2015 2:04:37 PMsweet Jesus... Every week... Bungie should really post a PSA about this. it's only good for people who had pre-DLC weapons that were capped at 300, and for exotic armor stay rerolls, but it will reset all upgrade progress in either case.
-
The upgrades were for the exotics that people had before the last expansion. They did less damage than they do now so they made the upgrades to bring them up to the new damage levels. you will probably have to upgrade them again after the next DLC.
-
Try doing some research if you don't understand how a game mechanic works. When you upgraded it, you probably should have looked at the screen since you missed an obvious change to it.
-
11 RepliesThe upgrades are there so you can make 300 attack versions of a weapon into the 331 attack version. Unfortunately, if you already have the 332 attack version, all the upgrade does is waste your materials and glimmer, and reset all experience. Sorry friend.

😧 another kinderguardian.
