In crucible I try to save my super for the right moment when a few enemy players are bunched up. But I don't see a problem with using it to get out of a sticky situation. More often than not if you bump in to someone around a corner they'll be sporting a shotgun and one shot you. Why not beat them to the punch? Keep doing what you're doing, you really don't need to justify how you play your game to the Internet.
