i for the life of me don't get how they edit edit edit entitled i'm right and you're not posters keep getting so many replies
it's like people just want to argue with them for saying such crazy things
we call them LMGs because they are exactly that. some may also call the suros an assault rifle since it actually is
bungie likes to invent their own words for things and not link anything to current military wording
assault rifle = auto rifle
revolver = hand cannon
LMG = heavy weapons or heavy machine gun
i have no idea why they do this. heavy machine guns typically start around .50 cal and no person is going to be packing and shooting that
English

Yes, this. It is a machine gun that is light enough to carry. I don't get how this isn't entirely self-evident.
-
Seems you have fallen victim of it as well. So do you get upset when people call hand cannons hand cannons and not revolvers?
-
But are they all revolvers? They used slang for everything basically. Auto rifles ARE in fact automatic rifles. And hand cannons slangly refers to a specific type of pistol, but is it limited to ONLY revolvers? I haven't taken the time to check them all Lol as far as the screen tell me, it's not light or heat machine gun... it's just machine gun, conveniently put into the heavy weapon slot.
-
Yeah in game it refers to them as just machine guns, so I suppose I can accept that. But bungie does refer to them as HMGs. As for hand cannons they all have the same reload action as a revolver, though I don't think they technically are. Simply because I don't see the individual bullets. Though that would be kinda difficult for them to design with all the perks and such.
-
the HC's use what appear to be a speed loader system rather than loading one by one. google revolver speed loader and you can see more or less exactly the setup our hand cannons use
-
Oh I know exactly what a speed loader is and our guns look nothing like them. There is essentially just one large cylinder that the entire "clip" goes into.
-
which goes with bungies PG theme of no real bullets, no words like assault rifle and no blood
