Clown Cartridge is the best perk on a rocket launcher
With clown cartridge my total rockets on say my radegast's fury or one way ticket increase from 7 to at least 8. Most of the time I get 9. Sometimes I even get 10! That's like having a purple heavy ammo box with you in reserve. If you are lucky like me, then you can still have tracking with them and use field scout if you want to have a 2 rocket mag instead of 1 with those 2 particular rocket launchers.
There is no better perk than simply more rockets is there? All you have to do is reload haha!!
Also, it works in PvP too. I at least get 1 more rocket from every heavy ammo drop increasing the total from 4-5.
On a side note hunger of crota only has 6 rockets why do people love it so much? ANY legendary rocket launcher with tracking has more rockets than it and would be better in PVE, especially with clown cartridge. Also it is not even close to gjallarhorn because that has 7 which really translates to 2 more rockets considering how much more powerful Gally is than the Hunger. I know I know you can still get the job done with hunger.
I say all this assuming people have boots with heavy ammo perk.
Edit: this is mainly for people without Gally and PvP.

I have a Radegast's fury with tracking and clown cartridge. How often would you say that it perks? I mean, I had one game when it happened three times out of four, and I've had other games where it never happens.

I have a admonisher III (new monarchy rocket launcher) with surplus, clown cartridge and field scout. I can use my heavy almost constantly in pve :)

3 RepliesI rolled my Radegast's Fury to have Arc w/Clown cartridge, Proxy Detonation, and Javelin. It has a better blast radius & velocity than Truth or Gjallarhorn. The downside is that there's only 1 rocket in the cartridge unless the clown perk works. It's my go to launcher for PVP. Extremely happy with it.

I was trying to roll a Radecast's Fury with Arc, Grenades and Horseshoes, Field Scout, and Clown Cartridge but I never was able to. Hearing this makes me want to get that roll even more.

I have a Void Valedictorian with Tracking, Field Scout and Clown Cartridge. It's amazing, but I have Truth and get 8 rockets.

Most of the top PvP players were using the pre DLC purchasable Steel Oracle with proximity back in late October/early November. Then they all swapped to Prox + Clown Radegasts the week it was sold. Seems like it's becoming common knowledge now.

5 Repliestracking AND cluster bombs. if you're lucky enough to get a one way ticket 000 with those two perks, then yeah, who needs hunger of crota. If you get a radegast's fury with those two perks? go nuts! But for the rest of us who haven't been so lucky, hunger of crota is where it's at. I have gally, but I still dearly love my Fatebringer + Icebreaker + HoC combo. I run that 90% of the time.

Yep, that's what I rolled on my radegast's. Field Scout, Clown Cartridge, Grenades and horseshoes (proximity splosions). It's my favorite :)

Got a void radeghast with tripod and clown cartridge. There isn't many times where I get less than ten rockets. The nexus felt them all this week. And 4 in the chamber, I love it.
