If it was an HMG you couldn't shoot it without a fixed mount! They're LMG's as they're hand held (unless your Arnie Schwarzenegger)

The tool is defined by its own qualities, not how its used. Using the claw on a hammer to open a bottle of beer doest make it a bottle opener and not a hammer.

Isn't that an argument for it actually being an LMG? But further to your point, at the moment of using the hammer to open the beer it actually is to all intent and purpose a 'bottle opener' once opened it reverts back to being a hammer again.

Absolutely incorrect. It is a hammer you are using to open a bottle. If these guns are hmg's, they remain hmg's even when being used in a manner lmg's are designed to be used.

Not heavy machine guns he doesn't. M60s are a light general purpose machine gun and M249s are a gold standard light machine gun, he's definitely not using any .50 caliber heavy mg regardless of special effects. They weigh 100 pounds unloaded.

Saw some crazy shit in my time. In the Falklands conflict a RAF rapier (SAM) missed it's target and landed next to our RSM (God to us mere mortals). He bellowed at the top of his lungs "which fu@#£er threw that, picked it up and went looking for the unfortunate missile crew to point out the error of their ways. All this during a major air attack on our beachhead! Calmed us down a treat.😵
