Without a tracking rocket will I ever get accepted for crota hard?
I'm lvl 32 and whilst I accept everyone would like a gally or hoc I think I've got enough experience in crota now to contribute enough to a team but nobody will ever take me on. Admitidly my rocket is probably considered one of the worst out there but it's 331 and I hit crota pretty much every time.
Is having a tracking rocket really that essential on hard? If so I guess I will have to bide my time til I get one
Edit 1: Yeah I'm looking to learn the sword asap. Have watched enough videos and want to start running it on normal first.
Edit 2: Just did it and got fang of ir yut for my efforts :-)

What about a good sniper and IB to replenish your ammo? There is always one or two with GH or HoC in the team. It's a waste of heavy if all fire rockets at Crota.

You know what's more desirable than a gjallarhorn in crota hardmode? A sword bearer. Learn how to be a good sword bearer and you won't have any trouble finding a group.

What's funny is stupid ppl that get a gally up and think they are skilled players once they get it. I have seen more ppl fail will full teams with gallys then teams with zero gallys! I have did that raid over 50 times and the best I use is a hoc.

It's a real shame that there are so many bad (read:unskilled) players out there that won't do a raid with anyone who doesn't meet their ridiculous requirements. I've done hard Crota with 4 players (because we only had 5 to begin with, and I didn't feel like wiping just because the drunk and or high guy got killed in the room) I seriously want to find a group to slay Crota with machine guns, no rockets allowed. It would be fun, and the video would probably be very educational for all of these "32s with Gjallarhorn only" players on LFG.

If your on ps4 and have a sniper or full auto MG or decent HMG ill take you any day. I don't care if you dont fire a single rocket all damn fight.

1 ReplyI don't mind as long as you have the right equipment. on hard I can understand the request of others for tracking, even on normal. just makes taking his shield down easier. feel free to add me and if I'm ever in a raid I'll send you an invite.

It's up to you to hit Crota. If you are a god with a RL, no. If you are average, yes.

I don't use a tracking rocket, I have no issues due to proximity detector though.
