  • In what way? I think the ash, as I refer to it, it's used to reconstruct hive. Given the sect is called Blood of Oryx, it would make sense that with the blood if a greater Hive and the magic of a wizard you create the Hive.

  • Just in the way you theorise that us an the fallen are "recycling" light, are the hive doing something similar. If that's where the lower forms of hive come from where do the wizards and greater hive come from

  • No, but sorta yes. By ways of Ir Yut they exist in death, I think this is why they torn to ash. As I said the higher Hive are the ones that give....birth...to The lower. As for the higher, and here's where I'm afraid to venture... hopefully it's not gonna bite nee in the Ass. Preemptively don't think just because one connection can be made doesn't mean it's the only connection to be made. This also doesn't mean it's only allowed to be made in that one group. Think Greek when you think where the Hive came from. In the beginning there was nothingness, chaos, from here spawned many great beings such as Lupi, the Darkness, and Oryx. This also created the Void. In this interpretation compare Oryx to Gaea, she (yes she) then created the first of her spawn. I feel it's safe to assume it wasn't Crota, Eir, Yul, Xol, or Ur. Who she mated with, and even how she mated with, I don't know. And to answer the she, I believe Oryx is a wizard, or at least a form of wizard. No doubt she'll be something worse than that. I assume that because wizards seem to actually be the leading roles in the Hive hierarchy, as seen in the rusted lands grimoire.
