So 2 of my buddies who I play with quite frequently are picking up dark souls 2 this Tuesday and insist that I should pick it up because "it's awesome". This would be my first experience with any of this company's titles. So I was wondering how some of you feel about the game. Is it worth it?

Edited by Kafuu Chino: 4/1/2015 12:07:46 AMHarsh but fair in terms of difficulty. Doesn't hold a candle to the first Dark Souls, but it's still a good, enjoyable experience. Once you get a grip of the mechanics, Souls games are pretty satisfying to play.

I never beat it but had it on PS3. I thought it was pretty fun, but only if you really like action-RPGs, because its REALLY hard.

One of the more challenging games. Alot of games remembered as challenging were difficult because of game mechanics, and ridiculous amounts of enemies. This game adds on more difficulty to that in addition to those. It's a great game. Pvp by far one of my fsvirite, despite being broken at times. But what game isnt? Right?

2 RepliesYes it is worth getting. You will die, a lot. I mean A LOT. The game has no real direction on where to go, which means there is a lot of paying attention to dialog, exploring and of course, dying. The game has a ton of weapons/armor and other hidden gems. Plus with the remastered you get all three DLCs ($30 value). But if your friends have played any of the Dark games, you'll be fine.

1 ReplyIt's challenging than most games and you have to figure stuff out on your own with not much help. I recommend you don't look up "how to" vids unless you really get stuck. I will def be picking it up and replaying it again for all the included dlc that I haven't tried :)
