Why do people do crota normal first and then hard?

1 ReplyMore materials is why I do it, plus I'm still hunting that Light of the Abyss. Moreover, you can get an exotic from normal Crota and hard Crota, so it's good to do both.

I've been doing hard but I'm gonna switch back to normal. I have the handcannon and gotten the pulse rifle 3 times yet have no special weapon.

For example, Black Hammer will only drop on Normal.

Shotgun, LMG, rocket laucher, sniper and fusion rifle are normal drops you cant get from hard mode. Extra shards/energy, normals alot easier for everyone to enjoy themselves.

I do the Crota checkpoint on normal, still looking for the Black Hammer. If I feel like running it for material, I'll do hard afterward.

1 ReplyI used to do normal runs first and then hard modes after but then I realized it's only worth doing Crota alone on normal for a chance at an exotic drop. That way when you do hard mode after you get a second chance for an exotic once you beat Crota. Deathsingers now counts as an exotic chest so no matter what difficulty you do it on first it's still only one chance.

1 ReplySometimes raids are the first thing my group does and some of us literally just woke up. Doing normal gives us a chance to warm and get in sync with each other. Especially if there is a new person in the fireteam.

And i will do it again until im ready for hard mode..some think because it says your guardian is lvl 30/31 hard is easy..some forget not every plays the same and is not naturally a good shooter...time and patience made me a better player. #walksoff #playingthecrotasongAttheendofcrota Side bar# i wasnt even looking for a gun in particular and...i got h.o.c and blackhammer. 2 RepliesMost people do norm then hard because they need that 1 thing that will not drop for them. Like me. I got the black hammer around my 80th crota kill. But that's with hard raids thrown in that number too.

I do crota normal for fun, I only do hard if people need me to help. The necro is the only exotic I need but it just isn't worth it

I'm not sure but I think you have a better chance of raid armor in normal to. I have only done crota 2 times but got 3 pieces. Only missing the helmet

Trying to get secondary and heavy weapons in normal and hard you get the primaries and on both you get gear and shards. Basically to collect em all.
