The whole point of having to pause to check the screen and be vulnerable to switch things in game is to serve as a punishment due to not planning ahead.
They are not going to remove that, kid.

You come up with that philosophy on your own, kid? I do plan ahead, doesn't mean that it's not annoying to have to pause to swap out gear during the middle of a raid. Not gonna run with the same guns and subclass through the whole thing. They didn't make it this way as a "punishment". (Honestly you think they put that much thought into it?)
