Dear Black Hammer,
Thank you for always pushing me to do be better. The precision mag bonus that you give me for playing well is so wonderful. You are so selfless and humble being classified as a mere legendary so that my Gjallarhorn can still come along on our adventures together. I vow now to never dismantle you. I vow that you will always have a slot on solar burn strikes. Thank you for everything you have done, Black Hammer.

You were among the first Exotics Bungie flaunted to the public, drawing eyes with all of those gilded wolves. They spun tales of your might and how Guardians who wielded you would go down in Legend. At the end of the Beta I carefully stowed you in the Vault, to keep you safe. In the following weeks talk swirled about the forums that our precious Beta loot would carry over to the full game. That you and I would get to fight alongside one another come September. Alas, it was not to be. Bungie cleared the Vaults and erased the characters, and you were gone. Disheartened, I carried on. But my grief would be short-lived. Scarcely a week after launch, my compatriots and I were gallivanting about in the Crucible, testing ourselves and our new Level 20 characters. As the match came to a close, a flash of yellow text appeared in the corner of my screen. Distant trumpets sounded, the skies opened, and who should appear in the post-game drops? It was you, my loyal Gjallarhorn, returned to me across time and space. You defied Bungie's clean-sweep and came back to be very first Exotic for the second time. We quickly set about fighting the Darkness together. It was with you that Atheon was toppled for the first time, and it was with you that I carved my Legend across the inner Solar System, one battlefield at a time. For your loyalty, power, and beauty, I came to know you by a new name: Saber. Be patient Saber, for soon you will ascend to the pinnacle of your might. Dear Crusader I, We've had a long run haven't we, I may not use you now, but come the 19th, that will change. To others, your take a knee spoils you, but you still have outlaw and high impact rounds, and I love that. Remember when you dropped from the loot cave, and the cryptarc decrypted you, the joy in me was so high when we first met, my first legendary. You have been there with me, the strikes, the VoG, even Crota, only recently The Chance took your spot. But temporarily, I will get to use you in your full glory again soon. You are my first, my Pre-VoC, my companion. I will see you stopping old enemies and new ones, crucible competitors, and those who stand in our way. I will see you soon again my one and only. I'm almost at 2k kills with you and I want to tell you I love you even if you are overrated af, I still love you. Yes sometimes you disappoint me when I shoot enemies and you -blam!- me over and not release your wolfpack rounds, but it's ok I can't always push your limits I understand. Oh and try to keep it easy on the proximity bb, you get me killed during raids alot love, Your bb meechie
