Use ascendant shards for re rolls
Title says it all, a solution for bungie on how to deal with the fact we all have 10000000 useless materials at the moment. Let us use our ascendant shards for rerolls on vanguard guns and possibly even vendor guns. This way you aren't breaking the game and it will get rid of the materials over time.
What do people think
Edit: Good to see that most people think this is a good idea, hopefully someone from bungie has the same idea or sees this post, but lets be honest..... no :P
EDIT: Im not really sure how to add another poll option but it looks like people think commendations could be used as well/instead, also a good idea
Edit: great responses just want everyone to keep in mind that im looking at.a way to get rid of ascendant shards that isnt a waste. Im not really arguing that this is how they bring in rerolls it just made the most sense.

Either use mats or commendation marks or some combination of both but this idea definitely needs to be implemented.

I have a boat load of shards too, but I don't think the game should take a cheap way out like that in switching what a currency means. I'd love it though if they had a swap option. Something like, trade two shards and 500 glimmer for 1 energy and vice versa.

We already have the same armour but I don't want everyone having the exact same weapons now....I would rather be able to trades those shards for marks material

3 RepliesStick with motes I say, there's an abundance of shards available to anyone whenever they want. Motes are a tad harder to come by which would make a decision/ability to reroll harder.

They give you the option to break them down for a reason. They'll never ever, ever be used for anything except for vanguard gear. Their whole reward system is -blam!-ed, which is why the game is dying (Or dead)
