The numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42 frequently recurred in Lost. Each corresponded with one of the final candidates to replace Jacob as protector of the Island. The numbers also formed the coefficients in an equation that predicted mankind's extinction.
History
Jacob and his brother, the Man in Black, lived on the Island for over two thousand years. During this time, the two engaged in a rivalry over the nature of humanity. Jacob brought people to the Island in order to test them and prove his view right. However, when it became clear that his brother planned to kill him, Jacob had new reason to summon castaways - to protect the Heart of the Island after his death and to kill the Man in Black. ("Across the Sea") ("Ab Aeterno") ("What They Died For")
Before drawing them, Jacob observed these candidates using a lighthouse. The lighthouse's mirrors displayed a different candidate's life with each degree that its dial turned. The numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42 corresponded with what turned out to be the final six candidates: ("The Substitute") ("Lighthouse") ("What They Died For")

3 RepliesEdited by Imladris: 3/29/2015 7:40:23 PMI would love it. I deserve all the weapons and armor in this game whether they come as a drop, a reward, or Xur because I purchased the game and the DLCs. Therefore, I've earned it all. And I just love black.
-
But I prefer black, so I'd shelf the RNG guns I get to play with the stealth versions. The reality of it, you want to be able to hate on someone without knowing them by whether they RNG or bought from Xûr? In order to buy from Xûr every week, you need three characters at level 30ish. After a month of three level 30 characters you'll have half the exotics anyway, unless your luck is bad. Xûr isn't giving scrubs guns every week, he's giving guns to players that have beat the game on three characters and keeping them playing by giving them a shiny new toy

It would end the "you bought it" comments? It would make it easier for -blam!- to target people
-
Fascist!

1 ReplyWould they fire faster?

Great. Another way for small-minded idiots to judge others and assign worth to themselves and others. Exactly what we need in a video game that's supposed to be fun. People need to get over this crap and move on.
-
If anybody really cares where someone got their exotics they should grow up. They do the same thing regardless of where they came from.
-
3 RepliesI never understood why this was ever a issue. Why should it matter how someone got a weapon? How does that effect anyone else's game but their own?
-
No offense, but this would be a horrible idea.
-
All black spec ops guns would be fvcking dope
-
I don't think the weapon skin should be changed, just the gold "exotic" box around the item in inventory should be silver instead.
-
Edited by Rob: 3/29/2015 8:31:27 PMI really don't see why it matters where you get the weapon from. Xurned or "earned" it. Who actually gives a -blam!- and why does it matter?. It's not like weapons in this game are difficult to get hold of or play time based. It's pure luck or you buy it, end of.
-
That's just -blam!-ing stupid...
-
Edited by Racebum: 3/29/2015 8:32:05 PMother than a few special snowflakes no one cares there is no talk besides a few anti social players who will probably wind up on CNN someday
-
If you dropped it in a dark room youd be -blam!-ed
-
2 RepliesI'd rather have the option to choose the color of my weapon with WEAPON SHADERS
-
2 RepliesYou're definitely a special snowflake. Not many on my mute list.
-
I'd buy that shit just to have all black guns lol. Good idea.
-
Woah, i thought this was an interesting idea... But it sure has generated a lot of angst!
-
Lol sure. That would end it...
nobody actually cares about how you got your exotics. It's just some fools trolling, trying to upset people because they have nothing better to look forward to in their lives.
-
2 RepliesMuted, just another who wants to be able to tell xur weapons apart from dropped.
-
1 ReplyDon't ever reproduce, there are enough of you special little" earner " snowflakes with out your lot breeding ...
-
Ok so bullies can make fun of unlucky people who couldn't get weapons from rng. Yea no that's a dumb fūčkìńg idea
-
That's just another way for d-bags to be d'y.
-
They would actually look more badass than the RNG weapons.
-
4 RepliesUmm are you stupid? It would fuel the fire even more. It is bad enough when people don't know if you did but if you made it obvious, there would be chaos all over the -blam!-ing place.
