Hand Cannon Damage Chart

I was curious (and bored) so I put together a chart of the damage dealt by all of the current hand cannons except TFWPKY...because I don't have it. I also included Fate Bringer since it's always a topic of hot discussion All kills were tested on level 33 Hallowed Knights and separately on level 33 Acolytes within a few feet to ensure maximum damage. [b]Hallowed Knights - Level 33[/b] Red Hand IX - 489 Thorn - 456 + 336 (DoT) Fate Bringer - 427 + Firefly up to 700 (w/explosive rounds 285 + 143) Timurs Lash - 540 Word of Crota - 437 + 277 The Chance- 489 The Last Word- 549 hip fire (416 zoomed) Venation III - 489 The Devil You Don’t - 437 TFWPKY - 489 *thanks Jdaniel28* Hawkmoon - 537 (716 luck in the chamber) *Thanks TheYerik* [b]Acolyte - Level 33[/b] Red Hand IX - 1172 Thorn - 1100 + 402 (DoT) Fate Bringer - 1024 + Firefly up to 700 (w/explosive rounds 683 + 342) Timurs Lash - 1296 Word of Crota - 1047 The Chance - 1172 The Last Word - 1316 hip fire (997 zoomed) Venation III - 1172 The Devil You Don’t - 1047 TFWPKY - 1172 *thanks Jdaniel28* Hawkmoon - *send me #s I'll add them* Of course figuring out which gun is the best comes down to other factors like the perk roll, RoF, and ammo which all factor into your DPS. And there's always your personal play style to consider. Either way I hope this helps pick out which hand cannon is right for you! Thoughts or questions?

            • My lash has luck in the chamber, and that one round does 1632. Hawkmoon is close to the same on its lucky rounds as well.

              • PvP damage chart: All hand cannons* Thorn with DoT 2 critical shots to kill All others: 3 critical shots 4 non critical shots *max impact hand cannons such as Painted Big Chief or Timurs Lash can be 2 critical shots against low armour Guardians.

                  • Same chart with PVP dmg would be great. Precision and body. I'll start you off: Hawkmoon precision 96 or 126 with luck in the chamber.

                      33 Knight with Hawkmoon maxed at level 32- 537 for normal bullet, and 716 with Lucky bullet (3/13 chance) I'll do 33 acolyte when i get a chance

                              I recorded some damage numbers today against lvl 30 enemies with my red hand comparing explosive and non explosive rds. [b]Lvl 30 Acolyte[/b] Non explosive rounds. 1723 precision dmg 525 body dmg Explosive rounds 1149 precision dmg(it seems that with explosive rds if precision damage is enough to kill the enemy then the explosion won't proc and you don't get the extra damage) 575 body dmg + 288 explosive dmg= 863 total dmg. [b]Lvl 30 knight[/b] Non explosive rounds. 1723 precision dmg 525 body dmg Explosive rounds 1149 precision damage + 575 explosive dmg= 1724 total dmg( 1 more damage then without explosive rds) 575 body dmg + 288 explosive dmg= 863 total dmg [b]Lvl 30 hallowed knight[/b] Non explosive rounds 718 precision dmg 479 body dmg Explosive rounds 479 precision dmg + 288 explosive dmg= 767 total dmg 240 body dmg + 240 explosive dmg = 480 total damage. So in every instance explosive rounds do more damage ranging from 1 to 337.

                                  • I can only tell you what damage Hawkmoon is causing in PvP in comparision to timurs lash Hawkmoon: Headshot - 94 (126 - 233 with bonus damage bullets) Bodyshot - 63 Timurs Lash: Headshot - 95 Bodyshot - 64 So not that big difference, but Hawkmoon has its extra damage rounds which can staple on each other, so you can either do [i]massive[/i] damage or even [b]one hit[/b] other players. In addition, Hawkmoons overall stars are way better.

                                        • Interesting. This is damage per shot, but it doesn't factor in how many shots per minute you can fire with the gun. The last word may look low, but it fires rapidly. You will probably get better (or same) damage over time with TLW than TL.

                                          • The range on some hand cannons is insane. Some can shoot so far they compete with scout rifles.
