Most frustrating way you've died in PvE
I was walking along on Mars trying to complete the knuckle duster bounty, and a few others. Suddenly a phalanx melees me and I go flying across the map and into the air. Sooner than later hitting a wall ending the knuckle duster bounty. I needed only a few more melee kills. What's your story?
Edit:love the stories guys, I've experienced the same ones too. A majority of them. Some not so much.
Edit 2: if you guys have videos of your stories please do share. Many of them are pretty damn funny. Also there are a lot of trip mine deaths.

Archon priest nightfall, soloed with my titan it all the way up to, "A cell, from the prison of elders!" I was down to the last dreg to kill before releasing the archon priest. I had been playing fairly conservatively the entire strike, but I decided to melee the dreg and release the priest before retreating. So I did, but unfortunately I had the discharge ability perk selected, so when I punched the dreg, the shock wave hit the barrel-type thing next to it and killed me, sending me to orbit.

Doing any quest were one can not die to finish. Then public event starts kill target, i think ya lets do this. I pull out rocket lancher lock on and...... My wife pops up in front of me "look at my new shader" booom guardian down.

Was soloing a Nightfall (the Devils' Lair with Arc Burn, Angry, and Lightswitch) when one of my buddies randomly joined without permission and ran ahead into the boss room without waiting for me. It only took me about 30-45 seconds to clean up the leftover enemies from the spider tank, but all of a sudden, boom - "The darkness consumed you". He ran in and got himself wrecked, then got us both booted all the way back out to orbit.

Walking backwards to avoid an enemy whilst attempting to complete the 9000 XP bounty, trying to continue to move backwards, not moving, not moving, why am I not moving? *tiny rock in the way that really shouldn't be stopping me* Minotaur shoots a couple dozen shots at me as i attempt to move, I die. Great, now I have to start the bounty all over again. (Not that it's really that hard to do in the first place) it just gets frustrating while trying to complete a bounty.

Omnigul strike walking through the skywatch area to the final part accolyte punches me on full health somehow I die and it's blamed on the architects with the 9k xp bounty of course.

It's a PvP death, but I think it's hilarious. Especially frustrating because I was in first place.

Anytime I was launched into a wall/rock and died due to a phalanx shield hit.

while reviving someone else who in turn did not come back for me so I had to just wait for the count down to self spawn. Was not an insurmountable environment so the player was probably just not noticing. That almost never happens.

Hitting a warlock with my arc blade and getting launched back into a wall dying on impact.

Edited by nuvoSol: 3/31/2015 10:21:29 AMI was running through rubicon ( first part with the semi open tunnel ) and like OP a phalanx melees me and i bounce against the crates like a pinball and die flying into the air after clipping the tunnel wall >Sol ( Best death I seen was the crota run for the 2nd chest , titan flared a shield , hunter beside me pulled out a "gally". "We shout no rockets !" the rocket bounces off the shield just as the titan jumps out of it. Blows the titan up and mashes him and two thralls into the roof. We missed the chest but died from laughter)

1 ReplyWas close to finishing the 9000 experience bounty one day, had full health when I jumped off a 1 story roof on the Cosmodrome and landed on a small rock. Somehow I died and it told me I was killed by a dreg? There weren't even any within 50 yards of me. I was a 31 hunter with full health upon jumping. My other favorite is when you are on your sparrow and it goes over the edge accidentally on the moon or anywhere with water below. No coming back from that

Getting nailed by a dead Walker's turret or my sparrow exploding upon landing a jump are a couple i remember.
