How to tell if your being ip flooded?
I was watching some videos on youtube when suddenly my internet shut off, it brought to my mind that a guy that some how made me get booted out of the pre game lobby (kicked offline) is doing it again. I restarted computer, nothing, power cycled modem and router and it fixed it. What are the symptoms of being IP Flooded, tomorrow im contacting my ISP. But I have a question, even though this guy who is ip flooding me, supposbley, lives in Germany will my ISP still be able to do anything about it?

When your getting ip flooded you dont go black screen, you go Disconnected From Xbox Live

STORY TIME :) One day i was getting i.p. flooded to make sure i tryied using my laptop the internet didn't work (I was still in black scree) I knew that i was being flooded so i turned of my xbox. What he did to you is illegal and punishable by law. but because he is in another country, you will have to discuss that with your ISP on contacting the proper authorities to deal with him. What is it with bad people? they want the 50 so bad that they have to cheat. pathetic.[/quote] But I don't know if I was being ip flooded tonight for I was just on the dashboard and didnt play with the guy that ip flooded me since the middle of july, so im confused.[/quote] Well, you can still call your ISP just to see whats up. I occasionally get blackouts in service but it has not happened to me for months.

It has nothing to do with your Xbox at all.[/quote] Ok just do whatever you guys want...........If you know anybody that i.p. floods try my way out. It worked for me. On you're team mates screen you are just standing there but you are on black screen on you're screen. Next time you get i.p. flooded shut off you're xbox and you'll see that you'll be able to sign back on without having to wait couple hours or minutes. One time i was getting i.p. flooded to make sure i tryied using my laptop the internet didn't work (I was still in black scree) I knew that i was being flooded so i turned of my xbox. It was weird, because Bungie.net was working but google wasnt resonding, and I could talk to people on Xfire and MSN but if I signed out it wouldnt let me back on, so I had SOME connection.

If your ip is being flooded you will lag alot or just not have connection for the internet for a bit if its a strong flood. Thats basically it.

When you are the only one talking. I ask my friends to say something and if they don't i turn off my 360 that way it doesn't flood it all the way.
