Trying to find the secret of Sandtrap
A few months before Halo 3 came out, i remember reading an update which mentioned "The biggest Easter Egg ever". I don't believe Bungie has told us that it has been found yet. It is possible it has been found, or it may still be out there. When i first heard about the method to get the I Would Have Been Your Daddy skull, i thought that was it. I don't think that anymore though. I still think this Easter Egg is out there and i think it could be on Sandtrap. Why Sandtrap? First, I believe its Sandtrap due to the description of one of last month's updates. It had a picture of Sandtrap and said "It's a barren wasteland, or is it?". Also, there are the elephants. The elephants are what i believe contribute to the Easter Egg. How? Not quite sure yet but after doing some research it seems like they are the key. As some of you may have noticed each elephant has a different name, one is the Leviathan and the other, the Behemoth. Well after doing a few searches on both these names i found a connection between them. They are both Biblical creatures. The Leviathan is said to be a large sea monster (possibly whale, serpent or crocodile). The Behemoth is said to be a enormous land animal (possibly ox, elephant, hippo or rhino). I also found a connection to one more name, the Ziz. The Ziz is said to be a large bird like creature whose wingspan can block out the sun. It is said that the Behemoth and the Leviathan fight and the The Creator will approach them with his mighty sword [and slay them]. He will then use the skin of the Leviathan to make canopies for shelter of the righteous, who will eat the meat of the Behemoth and the Leviathan in a large banquet. So what does this have to do with Halo 3 and Sandtrap? Well i find a few things that stick out. First the names on the elephants greatly relates to this. Also how the Creator will slay them with his "sword" (possible lead to energy sword). Maybe you have to make the elephants "fight" or somehow combine them with the Ziz (possibly hornet). The one thing that i believe to be the Ziz though is the Aegis Fate (large ship that looks like the dawn). How or if it has a connection with the elephants, I dont know. I actually haven't read the behemoth page yet, i got some information of the behemoth from the leviathan page.
If anyone has any feedback or ideas the the Secret of Sandtrap please reply. These are some things that i found which MAY lead to the secret (or could be nowhere close to the secret, if there actually is one). I hope that the people who read this are interested in finding secrets and eggs and help by providing criticism and ideas. I hope that there are people who may actually look into this more by research or acutally playing around in forge on Sandtrap and actually trying to find a connection between these biblical beasts. mityman, i wasnt poking at it for nothing else to say, i just found it funny. and im not the wrong one in the evolution/relatvity discussion trust me, i dont need your opinions to back up proof that i have learnt and read and been taught. i really cant be bothered to write much back to that, as the only reason i was being at all hostile is because you were bing hostile to the OP and other people who are apparently wasting their time... dont complain or post here if you think so, keep it to yourself.. same goes for others, yours was just particularly rude.. discussion for all easter eggs indeed, and if you read it all youd know some things have been found out, and other things have been told that people may have not known about.. so its far from a waste.. stop wasting your time and leave us be.

um yea this a post about sandtrap dude. and idk this is a good idea to explore ive seen that lil blue egg but idk what else there could be really. if bungie hasn't notified what the egg is, why is it such a hot topic?

I forged out of Sand trap and found easter eggs (small) on the pillars above. After I used my secret to explore even further out of Sand trap with theatre mode I explore that huge ship, the Pillar of Autumn, and seen everything outside of Sand trap and never saw a huge easter egg.

Just came here to say congrats on hitting 10,000 posts. Plus, maybe this is outside the map. There's this room you can get to that's hidden. Maybe its somewhere in there, I don't know.

To poster above: There are a few things I have to get out of the way before I start the meat and potatoes of my post. 1. You're message to me that you had posted a reply was quite rude. One really can tell when someone has no ground left to stand on in a debate when they resort to poking at someones name instead of actually trying to debate the topic at hand. Alright, now that we're past that, I can start. I guess I wasn't clear when I told you my point. A theory is a well-tested, well-[b]believed[/b] idea. When Darwin published his work, all he had to go by was a trip around the world and some previous work from fellow scientists. Also, the vast (and I mean [i]vast[/i]) majority of people in the world did not believe his idea either because they just didn't believe it or, more likely, they feared religious prosecution. So I'm sorry to say but in this aspect, you're wrong. Not trying to be a jerk, but you're just flat out wrong. Evolution did not become a theory until it was more widely believed. Next, I don't mind if people want to look for Easter eggs. I love it, really. The things that Bungie and other developers put in their games are fun to find and usually laugh at. But this? This is nothing. I understand that it's speculation, and that's good, because that's how some Easter eggs are found, but this isn't going anywhere. It's all talk and no action. I don't believe that anybody has found anything that can prove this speculation. So unless somebody wants to test out some of these ideas and see if they lead anywhere, this thread should just die. Also, you yourself did not say the elephants would fight. The topic creator did. That's what I was talking about. I don't even know why you thought I thought you said it- I never even said that. I have to say, though, that getting the elephants to fight just doesn't make sense to me. I mean, I understand that you could have two teams duke it out and actually have the elephants play a big role in the game, hell, you could even ram both the elephants into each other and have them fight like that. o-blam!-. mityman, whom i may point out cant even spell mighty... you are the worst at forum comebacks.. seriously the theory of relativity and evolution were presented to people AS theorys, they were ideas when they were thought up, theorys when proposed, have remained theorys because they partly cannot be proven. i did not say at any point the elephants would fight, but metaphorically speaking each elephant belongs to a team, and if it were war, the vehicles would be part of it... naming vehicles affectionately is proof of that... for example people who named their bombers during the world wars. or their bombs for that matter. they are doing the fighting too, just not in a literal sense.. also, i dont know what you cant get your head around, but the thread was started titled secret of sandbox, so its not only about "ziz" etc, but about sandbox, however he did state there may be secrets in other maps worth exposing.. its a secrets and eggs thread full stop, and without people like us you would have no easter eggs to laugh at.. or are your sense of humour and time wasting skills just being honed by wasting our lives with your presence. if you dont like it go watch lost.. that is much more of a waste of time than this. i would rather sit in the middle of sandbox painting lovely pictures with my magnum than watch that.. so go waste your own time not ours.. we want to discuss it, dont be a troll and disrupt that! gtfo. right, to clear things up... i think i know what the easter egg is. youtube it.. ' the da vinci code egg' first you have to barrier break out the level then go behind one of the towers. it should be there. or maybe ur on about ANOTHER eatser egg then i have no idea.

the ship in the sky is probibly the answr. of corse it might just be the fact that bungie said "biggest easter egg ever" becuase if you look on you tube they have people who can somehow get the ship down. :' so maby bungie was really saying that this is the biggest easteregg ever becuase it might be the biggest in actual size. i mean if the ship has any size comparason to the dawn in the campeign levels(that thing is HUGE!!!!!!!) then it would deffinetaly be the biggest easter egg ever. and i think in one of the cheat sites it said something about th elephants and the names have something to do with it. then again maby all you have to do is take a plasma pistol an hit the ship(sorry i forget the name). i mean why would bungie make a power drain if all you have to do is hit a vehicle with a plasma pistol on over load.
