Getting Thorn is absolute torture for Hunters
For all the Warlocks and Titans out there that hate Hunters when they take out your whole team with Arc Blade, just know that you have solace when we Hunters don't have Atheon's Epilogue and try to do the Thorn challenge.
It was a bounty back when fusions and shotguns were overpowered. Not it's just painful running around with a shotgun and playing thirty [u][/u] [u][/u] [quote][/quote]

Word of crota + Swordbreaker + truth+ voidwalker = done in 1 hour.

Serious? It's way too easy now. With two primaries, really good secondaries, and corrective measure/truth/any void heavy. I did that crap with a blue shotgun. Noob.

Pfft you make it sound like the titan has the thorn bounty down lock and key. All we have to use (that can actually get us a kill) are a magnet grenade and a particularly weak melee. The only one that is well of would be the Warlocks with their huge melee range, Axion bolts, and vortex/tri-force super.

Even green fusions can do one shot kills even on level 32s. You just need to learn the timing on them. Find anything with void damage and you should be fine just be patient.

Plus keep running VOG and you should get atheons epilogue drop for you it's pretty common.

What do you mean? Fusions and shotguns are still OP but rightfully so. You just aren't using them right. You can easily get one hit kills if used correctly.

I ran with Word of Crota, Swordbreaker and my Void Against all Odds. Didnt take too long.

Edited by BeefMittin: 3/29/2015 5:13:38 PMI used a Hunter for my thorn bounty and I got it done in about 2 hours. I was lucky enough to get a void shotgun from the rewards screen after a control match. Previously I only had a void rocket launcher

8 RepliesWelcome to the "we suck at crucible, Bungie walled up a cool gun that we can't get over. Club. Or WSACBWUACGTWCGOC for short. Players cry that they can't get Vex because of raiding. Well I've been wanting thorn for months and can't get it. Yeah I suck at crucible but why not give me a PVE option? I'll do 100 strikes if that's what it takes. Why do all exotic bounties have crucible tacked on? Some of us don't like PVP but Bungie is forcing us to do it if we want that weapon.

I am not a pvp player yet I did my Thorn bounty with no real problem. Blade dancer/ void fusion rifle / control, camp at C or a funnel spot while invisible. did it in about an hour.
