I think you should check "Your Lie In April" (Shigatsu Wa Kimi No Uso). It's my favorite anime so far.

What's it about?

It's about a prodigy in playing the piano. His mother, who was so sick died, and he became unable to play the piano because every time he looks at her seat or thinks about her, he becomes unable to hear anything and gets scared. One day, while walking in a park, he meets a girl. He falls in love with her, but she loves his friend. That girl forces him to play the piano again. It feels like watching clannad, but with a completely different plot. The shapes might be annoying at the start,lol, but you'll get used to it. :)
