How to balance Hunter Supers in PvP

Before I begin this, I have played as both Warlock and Hunter and understand the uses of each class. I'm not here to shit on Golden Gun or Arkblade, I'm here to try to find a way to make them balanced and fit into the flow of gameplay. Now that's out of the way let's get into the problem. Arkblade and Golden Gun are considered "OP" for a multitude of reasons. However, I feel the only reason they are so good is that they can chain multiple kills without much commitment. A hunter can go from one side of a map to the other with their super active, killing people along the way. I feel that they don't have to commit when going in with their super. If a Warlock misses Nova Bomb that's it. You went in and got nothing. Same with Titans and their Fist of Havoc. Hunters however, don't have that. If you miss a Golden Gun shot or pop Arkblade and no one is around, you simply keep moving and find a target. This gives them plenty of opportunity to wipe out teams not one but twice or even three times. I've heard Bladedancers say "Wow only 3 kills on that one." Meanwhile I'm super happy to kill one guy with my Nova Bomb. Adding to commitment to both Hunter supers would prevent Hunters from going across the map, killing everyone. If we were to reduce the time Golden Gun and Arkblade were active to something around 10 seconds, those crazy kill frenzies would still be possible but would be much more reliant on player skill and either poor use of resurrections or crappy spawns. *cough cough* anomaly *cough cough* However, I think for Golden Gun, firing a shot should extend the duration that the super is up. This would add a risky element to the use of Golden Gun as you could blow a shot for the potential of removing threats from the field or wait and risk losing all your precious magic bullets. Similarly, Arkblade would have the Encore talent as a default and some other perk like higher jump or longer lasting invisibility could replace it. (Both these ideas are based off of Datto Does Destiny's from this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKi30mhzglw) I also think that the damage reduction while Arkblade is up should be shrunk from 50% to 25%. I do think if you're going to be getting up that close and personal, you should have some reward for it, but from personal experience 50% is makes hunters nearly un-killable unless you use supers, get lucky sniper head-shots or have heavy weapon ammo. If you have any other changes you feel would balance out PvP more in anyway please comment them below. If you disagree with my point of view please explain why below as well. Thank you very much for reading my article and I hope you have a good day.

  • you've been killed a few times by a bladedancer and some golden shots right if you haven't already, use the Hunter in PvP, they're not what you think they are
