I couldn't get the hang of suppression grenades to be honest...

They're great. They function exactly like a regular frag grenade. The benefit is that they prevent all enemies in the blast radius from using abilities. Hobgoblins can't teleport or use armour lock, Wizards can't attack you, etc. It is especially funny in Crucible. Throw it at a f Capture zone and watch the hunters and warlocks try in vain to blink out of there. Makes it easy as hell to mop them up.
-
Ooooooooooo I might have to switch up my playstyle a bit haha
-
Yeah, the Vex can't teleport while suppressed, and neither can Servitors or Captains, Knights and Hobgoblins can't use their shield, I'm pretty sure Ogres can't use the eyebeam, and the most glorious use of them, Wizards literally can't do anything except hover while suppressed. They can't use their arc blasts and they can't create the poison clouds.
-
How long does it last though?
-
I think somewhere between 5-10 seconds. Definitely long enough to burst down any of those enemies unless they're a major, and even if they are you'll be able to take out enough health that they won't give you trouble anyway.
-
Hmmmmmmmm I need to practice then.
-
If you're good at magnetic grenades without having them curve to stick a target, then I suggest treating them the same. Chuck them at an enemy like they're a sticky, or if you know that'll overshoot your target, try bouncing them underneath the enemy like a flashbang.
-
Well...I'm not lol. I am good with Incendiary grenades on my Hunter though...aren't they both basically regular grenades?
-
Yeah they're essentially the same as incendiary grenades in how they're used.
-
Oh well...I shouldn't have that much trouble then.
