I went to Xur, equipped my almost-maxed BAD JUJU, bought an exotic shard, then went under "Upgrade Equipped Exotics" to the now highlighted BAD JUJU, held x to *upgrade* my weapon, then I got it back with everything reset.
The fu......I'm so mad I can't play this game anymore...at least until I get my weapon back.
Now, help.

Hey there. What you did was upgrade your Bad Juju. When a guardian goes to Xür to upgrade an exotic from its pre dlc max of 300 attack for weapons and max of 30 light for armor into its Dark Below version were the weapons max damage will be 331 and armor will have a max light of 36. But once you upgrade your exotic all stats and perk upgrades will reset. Thus making your weapon default to a starting damage of 302 and your updated armor to a starting light amount of 30. What happened to your Bad Juju is completely normal all you have to do is upgrade it again. Hope I helped you.

I like reading these People need to look at the weapon more closely that's being upgraded to,I like the upgrade section since I had an old TLW and I had over 30 shards It makes exotic shards have an extra use besides just sitting in my inventory

4 Replieswhy do people still do this shit omg it amazes me

No , xur didn't reset your bad juju, you reset it .

Hahahaha noob

That's there for the change of exotics before the DLC came out. You don't need help you just made a stupid mistake, the upgrade section does that.

This section of Xur's inventory is for upgrading exotics with pre-DLC stats(300 damage 30light) to post-DLC status(331 damage 36 light). It also resets a weapons upgrade progress. Since your weapon already had post-DLC stats you do not need to upgrade it. See the link below for more details. Exotic Upgrade FAQ

That was for 300 damage max weapons from before the dlc dropped and bungee doesn't replace

Lol, so many people do this! Look, they won't fix it, it's stupid how they don't have a disclaimer window before it resets I know, but you just gotta grind it again man.

The upgrade system is to mainly bump up pre DLC weapons to the new cap. Next time actually check up on things before doing them

An other thing in Destiny that shame about the items system... so you need money, materials, and playing times again for this weapon... an other great thing for old players like us... Remind me the same thing with Games Workshop tabletop games : they wants just new players who bought their games and have no interest about the old players who have played since the beginning and promote their games...

16 RepliesXur's upgrade option wasn't for you to use to upgrade it's damage. It's for people to to upgrade their 1.0 weapon to 2.0. Bungie will not refund nor return your weapon to it's previous state.
