I was kicked for using Fatebringer.
I found a group for the Nightfall off of LFG, and the leader asked me if I could use a 331 weapon. I said I had the fang, but wanted to use my Fatebringer. I was then removed from the fire team... Wtf
Edit: found 2 different people, and ended up doing the nightfall on all characters with them. While using the Fatebringer.
Edit 2: I have found out there's lot of people like this :/
Edit 3: don't worry guys, I now understand that higher attack is better. Next time I'll just use Necrochasm because it has a higher attack.
Edit 4: this was on the Phogoth arc Nightfall by the way.

1 ReplyHonestly, those guys are d***s and quite dumb. Yes, it´s capped at 331, but against waves of minions Fatebringers wrecks the house. I use it in every Arc-burned Nightfall and I get amazing results because I usually get 3-4 kills per headshot. In the Omnigul strike, Thralls just vanish. There was even a guy running that Nightfall with me (two weeks ago) who asked me, visibily surprised, what kind of weapon I was using to kill stuff so fast. Plus, if you need higher damage for majors and whatnot, your Special weapon will do the trick. Rock on with that Fatebringer!

The only thing 331 weapons help with are enemies above 30, so either weapon would have been fine

2 RepliesLulz fatebringer has firefly which is great for clearing stuff, between that and my arc ldr and Thunderlord, nightfall was a joke Also nightfall has level 30 enemies Any weapon 300 or above is most effective so maxed fatebringer at 300 is fine Using 300 weapons against level 31 or higher enemies is where I could understand requiring 331 weapons aka for the level 33 enemies in crota hard mode I know this and I don't even have the DLC--whoever is omgz u can't use a 300 weapon is just a person who probably sucks and wants to make sure his teammates have good weapons to make up for his crappy play...if somebody started harping on that I'd either explain that to them or just leave and find people to play with that actually understand the game

The difference between a 331 word of Crota and a 300 fatebringer = 10 damage. Yes you read that right 10 measly additional attk points

Fatebringer is fine to use. Especially for crowd control during an arc Nightfall.

A guns impact is how much damage it does per shot, not its attack value :<. A 300 fatebringer performs exactly the same on a nightfall as a (non-existant) 331 fatebringer would have. that person is just shitty dumb. It's a good thing you didn't nightfall with them.

There is only a difference of 35 attack between a 300 and a 331, fate is too beast.

7 RepliesThis really just goes to show that there a lot of dumb people playing this game. 331 attack speed only makes a difference on enemies higher than lvl 30. Since no enemy in any nightfall is higher than Lvl 30 it makes no difference. Not to mention fatebringer is the best 300 weapon in this game it's crowd control is so good. Sorry you got booted by idiots there are so many people in this game that really don't understand the mechanics.

2 RepliesThat edit 3 tho.. =) I run fatebringer on arc burn also, no worries. I will say I used oversoul edict this week (not fully leveled, under 300) and it is a beast! Give it a try next time!

Can you play the game? Are you using a weapon that functions where you are using it? That is all that matters. If your weapon of choice is stupid, like a shotgun to take down the oversoul, you need a kick to the head. Otherwise, you use whatever you want.

If you bring FB along you can raid with my clan any time. FB with arc makes killing mobs and Captains so easy. Bang bang your dead (with all your friends ) one bullet to the head

Fatebringer is scaled to level 30, so it won't start underperforming until at least level 32 Nightfalls, so all these people are idiots if they think a 331 weapon is gonna serve you better. Even at 32 I think Fatebringer will be extrememly strong on Arc burn.
