Is it necessary to purchase DLC in order to buy exotics from Xur? I really wanted this weeks Titan and Warlock gear but i do not have the dark below expansion pack and it does not give me the option to purchase without it.
Also, i have noticed that my Icebreaker does not cause 'splosions when i kill an enemy. Yes I have unlocked the perk/upgrade but I have not noticed anything different from when i first purchases it. Anyone have any ideas as to what could cause this?

[/quote] Some items from Xur require players to purchase Expansion I. If you don't have The Dark Below, there is no way to obtain those exotics. Any killing blow should trigger it (except for bosses).

3 RepliesI don't know why you can't buy it but I think I have an idea about the explosions. Sometimes when I fire my Gjallarhorn, I doesn't show the animation and applies the entire dot effect as soon as it hits. It hasn't happened with me on icebreaker yet, but I imagine the same thing could happen in theory.
