I think the problem with Remote Play on a Vita are the crappy controls of the Vita compared to the Dual Shock 4.
Some games are almost impossible to play or at least on higher difficulties.
I got an Xperia Z3, which is way better because now you can use the Dual Shock 4, but I feel that when connected to the Xperia the gamepad is not as responsive as it normally is. I wish they would just add the option to use the phone as a screen and keep the controller connected to the PS4...

I've been using Remote Play on the Nvidia Shield portable to have the best of both worlds. Has 4 shoulder and thumb stick buttons. You can even touch the screen to simulate the touch pad.

I use the remote play with the dualshock 4 on my Samsung galaxy. Its pretty nice being able to play wherever
