He is a gentleman, a professional and was very kind and gracious when he saw me at PAX over the crowd and gave me a wave, a wink and a nod. I was impressed at his ability to remember a face out of the many people he probably deals with as part of his duties. A good man who it was my good fortune to meet. As to the shirt's katakana, I am told that it is the phonetic representation of "Marathon for Mac" though when read aloud you have to perform an audio "squint" to hear it.

Much like the often touted, hotly anticipated, yet never seen Marathong. I bought 4 of the shirts when they were on closeout. Dog's have chewed up one (they have good taste, but are destructive) and I still have one in the wrapping. Interesting PAX tidbit. I saw Robt McLees in a well worn alternate version of the shirt. Still had the Carnage Zone sign on the back but the front did not have the Marathon symbol. Rather, it had the Bungie logo in the same place above the katakana. "Interesting", I thought to myself.

I can count to ten in Japanese and name off katas, but that is it. I wonder if Recon Number 54 knows Japanese since he is wearing that shirt. Just a shot in the dark.
