I'm starting to use Voidwalker for PVP now and i look real stupid running around throwing Nova Bombs with Praxic Fire on. So what exotics should i be looking out for for my Voidwalker?
any of these also worth using for Sunsinger?
what does it mean by siphon abilities for the SoDA?

For pvp i like voidfang vest For PvE obsidian mind
-
Voidfang Vestments for PvP with both Voidwalker and Sunbro (allows you to respawn with full grenades).

Edited by Kraye124: 3/29/2015 7:43:04 AMThe Skull of a Dire Ahamkara gives the Voidwalker "the Hunger" perk for free, increasing the duration of "Energy Drain" I forget the how much it increases the duration, but it's substantial. I also use "Embrace the Void" which makes all my abilities trigger energy drain. With only 75ish% discipline two full count downs of Energy Drain recharges my grenade again. I also like how it looks. Edit: for pvp its not that useful. I rarely survive long enough for energy drain to come into effect and really only use it because of the high intellect. For pvp, Voidfang is pretty good. On a side note, does anyone know if the damage from bloom is enough to kill a full health guardian? I'm curious because energy drain is not good for pvp, and I might just change up my whole setup if bloom is really good.

Voidfang vestments is the best pvp exotic. Its really good for sunsinger in pvp, and is good for pvp since you always respawn with grenades. Obsidian mind is good for pve, but you really cant use it for sunsinger. Skull of dire ahamkara question: siphon abilities means energy drain. So improved energy drain makes you regain grenade energy even faster with the skull
-
The skull increases the effect of your energy drain. It's only noticeable use is to take more damage while using nova bomb. Obsidian mind is my favorite because you hit 2 people with a nova bomb, you're already 25% (if not more) towards your next one. It's just good imo. Voidfang vestments are popular as well.

All these people picking obsidian mind for PvP??? Why??? Really why??? I like the apoth regain health after super Good for VW and SS Plus orb health is good

7 RepliesEdited by m00ninite: 3/29/2015 3:58:42 AMDO ANY OF YOU READ THE WHOLE POST?? 101 votes for Obsidian?? LOL. PvP running Obsidian Mind is an absolute waste. You can be cocky if you want and try to tell me that you're always getting 3+ kills with your Nova Bomb but let's be real here. Most Nova Bombs are average 2 kills. With that gain back from Obsidian Mind, you're MUCH better off using Voidfang and having a new grenade guaranteed every time you spawn. That means every new engagement you have a grenade to harass enemies and at very least knock down multiple shields. Skull is an acceptable alternative if you really find yourself throwing your Nova Bombs while under heavy fire, but generally you should be blinking/flanking to toss those so I still would say you're better off with Voidfang. LBN if you're playing Skirmish/Salvage. Claws if you're REALLY just that much more in love with melee than using your grenades, but if that's the case then really you're not taking advantage of being a Warlock. /endrant

Edited by Shady_Nurse: 3/29/2015 6:55:35 AMMind, Ahamkara, Praxic Fire and Light Beyond Nemesis are the best hands down.
-
For pvp, use Voidfang vestments. Pve, obsidian mind. They all have their uses, but those are my top two for most situations.
-
Use voidfang. Axion bolts everywhere.
-
2 RepliesLooks like 84% of people can't read. Obsidian mind is almost completely useless in pvp. I'd say voidfang is probably the best
-
Obsidian Mind and BadJuju combo is what I've been told is the nastiest. Otherwise Voidfang and whatever weapons happen to be appropriate would be my go too. Obsidian Mind and BadJuju will frequently charge your nova bomb like mad. For sun-singer? Torn between sunbreakers/starfire protocol....depends on whats going on. Too happily addicted to voidwalker :P
-
For my warlock i use them all at different times depending on what im doing, the same with my hunter and titan. What im doing depicts what i use. Obsidian mind or voidfang vestments for pvp, apotheosis veil for hard crota/atheon, light beyond nemesis for normal crota/atheon. I never stick to one thing
-
Void fang or skull

Edited by Mayhem420: 3/29/2015 6:38:55 AMObsidian Mind will regenerate your super at a faster rate. Great when paired with Bad JuJu. SoDA makes you harder to kill when using Nova Bomb and makes you life steal or soul rip more effective. Basically does the same thing as Obsidian Mind just not as good. Voidwalker vestments are great if you like to throw grenades before rushing in with a shotgun. Claws are fun for Sunsinger with Viking funeral on.
-
Siphon abilities are what your melee does.ie energy drain, life steal, soul rip. Also, if you have your nova bomb set to activate them as well
-
1 ReplyObsidian mind and it isn't even close. With max intellect it's scary how fast you get your super
-
I would choose claws, however, does that mean i have two flame shields ready to activate if im a sunsinger?
-
3 RepliesSkull for pvp. Only use voidfang if you die a lot.
-
Void fang vestments
-
Voidfang as a sunsinger with double fusion grenades= 2 guaranteed kills each life. Fusions are super easy to use and lock on.
-
Didn't read before I voted, go with Voidfang Vestments. That grenade is a huge bonus.
-
1 ReplyIf you die consistently then voidfang...
-
1 ReplyFor PvP -Apotheosis Veil for playing rumble or playing with randoms, Light beyond Nemesis for playing with an organized fire team. For PvE- Obsidian Mind, it has kind of overshadowed the SoDA. No matter what you do, I would get the Obsidian Mind from Xur right now before the reset, it has a really good stat roll.
