Let's look at some facts really quick...
Number of Titan exotics:
- 4 helmets (5 spaces left in inventory)
- 2 gauntlets (7 spaces left in inventory)
- 2 chests (7 spaces left in inventory)
- 1 boot (8 spaces left in inventory)
Number of Hunter exotics:
- 4 helmets (5 spaces left in inventory)
- 2 gauntlets (7 spaces left in inventory)
- 2 chests (7 spaces left in inventory)
- 1 boot (8 spaces left in inventory)
Number of Warlock exotics:
- 4 helmets (5 spaces left in inventory)
- 2 gauntlets (7 spaces left in inventory)
- 3 chests (6 spaces left in inventory)
- 0 boots (9 spaces left in inventory)
Now... Let's assume that you also have a full set of VoG and CE raid gear on all three characters.
That leaves you with 3 helmet spaces per character, 5 gauntlet spaces per character, 4-5 chest spaces per character, 6-7 boot spaces per character, and 7 class item spaces per character, plus what you're wearing.
That's plenty of space for Vanguard, Crucible and Faction Gear, and you haven't even needed the vault yet.
Now, I will say that only 24 spaces for the General section isn't enough, but I think 24 spaces for armor is more than enough
-
You can actually carry 10 of each if you count what you're wearing.
-
What you don't seem to get is that after all the fuqing grinding we have to do to earn our weapons (why your on a bout people complaining about armour space I'll never no - never heard anyone complain about that!) We don't want to dismantle them all - some we keep as souvenirs, some because their perks make them awesome in specific situations, some because we just kinda like to collect and evolve them like pokemon, and that's BEFORE we even start to think about raid and exotic weapons. and it also kinda sucks that we had to pay full price for a game that's been chopped up to create dlc and that's been half arsed so they could sell more copies to the prev gen console owners.
-
My issue has never been with the armor slots, it has always been the weapon space.
-
What about gear for different playstyle builds such as pve, pvp, nades, punch, increased super and so on. I think I speak for a small percent but it would be nice.
-
Vaultspace: Armor: 1 Warlock helmet to be discarded Weapons: tons of legendaries, some rare, about 10 spaces left after discarding some guns i still might have used. Miscalenous stuff: about 3 spaces left because of ships telemetries and valuables. No space for Emblems or shaders. Character: Primaries full, secondaries full, heavies 6/9 occupied. Helmets and Chests etc are about 6/9 too. That vaultspace aint park Avenue real estate. Just some small numbers for their servers, and not having Vaultspace sections would help for a start. Same goes for the char. I dont Need 9 Boots but i can easily see more than 18 guns i would like to be able to swap through.

Can they just make it general vault space instead of dictating how much of a certain type of item we can store?
-
Looks great on paper, buuut...
-
Awesome. You can't store any class items then. I have every character maxed on class items and about 8 more in the vault. Also, I level armor drops before I dismantle them, so that's even more space taken up. The problem, however, is the general tab. Ships, shaders, emblems, telemetries, synth, etc. Just not enough room.
-
It's not about that. Look at the patch notes, no one cares about armour. It's all about weapons. Lets assume you have all raid weapons, 9 from VoG and 9 from Crota. You now have 2 spaces left in the vault. That's not even onto exotics, which some people have every (or close to) exotic weapon in the game. Dumping the weapons on another character works, but is also highly inefficient. We need more weapon space.
-
OP gets it. I was going to do the math myself but you beat me to it. Bungie should have taken the extra slots they are giving to armor and put them into weapons instead for an even 40 weapon slots.
-
I agree....im fine with armor space as it is, and i have every exotic armor available, and full sets of gear from both raids for all 3 different characters.......even have quite a few dupes of crota gear with different stats. I dont get what kind of junk people are saving to be out of armor space. Weapon space tho.....ill take all i can get. I honestly have "enough" space for weapons......but have to load up one character with weapons in able to transfer efficiently
-
You are correct with the armor side but there are a lot of weapons that can be collected. Since this game is an incredible grind it would be nice to be able to keep them all. The only issue I see with the armor is that they have different rolls. Sometimes you may want to equip one with high intellect, while another time more discipline.

If we had the same amount of space as we do now but could allocate it how we wanted it would be better. I think an extra 20 slots and the above idea would be perfect.
