Our team has found that for some reason, if a hunter is using blink strike to run the sword, crota will enrage after 14 hits (extra damage from the strike? Or a bug?) If we run sword with no blink strike, 14 hits is fine. We have 19 hard mode completions and we have found this to be true, but not really sure why.

Not sure if slayer is trolling or not. He always enrages on the 14th slam if im 3 swording him. Now i just 2 sword crota in 4 downs so my fireteam doesnt have to worry about ogres

Thats exactly what happened to me to me last night, he had a hairline of health and didnt die but it was too late for a third down as the sword vanished........so we wiped.............

That happens a lot if you don't know your dmg for two swords

I can vouch for this; 14th slam is his enrage threshold. If you've been safe at 14, then one of the hits you didnt fully hit Crota (easily testable: if you smash him but you're right on the edge of the smash, you'll do about 4000 less damage).

14 is safe. When u hit him the 15th time he will enrage.

I think he might mean immediately. Like, you'll be able to hit him again before he enrages.

Crota always enraged on the 15th slam. It takes 18 to kill him and the safest method is to do 6 per sword which means on the third sword first run you will be getting hits 13, 14, and 15. At the 15th he will enrage. Then you will get hits 16, 17, and 18 with 18 being the killing blow. This only applies if you use purely slams with a level 32 character. This is why when I run sword on hard mode I always calculate out my hits to where in the third sword I have 4 or 5 hits left.

Funny that you can easily search and find a considerable amount of videos of Crota enraging at 14 slams. I did my due diligence and actually posted a video below showing 14 hits enrage. What causes extra to pop up randomly is up in the air. Every time I run it is 14 slams enrage, but I also see a number of videos showing 15 slams. Could be they didn't fully hit Crota on a smash, which if you only hit at the edge Of the sword, you do about 4000 less dmg.

Actually that makes sense now. Despite you having THREE hunters (brain likely couldn't take more), one of your hits on Crota isn't for full damage. You're hitting at the edge of the blade, not the full swing. Mystery solved. You're just a poor Swordbearer

Despite the hundreds of videos proving even in slow motion for your slow mind that its 15 slams you sit and deny it you sir bore me. Poor swordbearer? Check raid kds and compare the stats little one I crush your poor performing ass. I had a titan and whorelock didn't care for either so I deleted them.

Too complicated for you? Raid KD's don't show Swordbearer stats. How bout you enlighten us with these videos? Or maybe, much like your skill as a Swordbearer, they simply don't exist.

Except k/d doesn't take into account voluntary wipes, sunsinger res, glitching, or people screwing off waiting for someone else to join the party. It doesn't tell the full story like you think it does.
