I think everyone cares so much because they see the full amazing experience it could have been. The gameplay is amazing but it does feel like it has been scaled back. So many aspects don't make sense in the story or feel like they could've been explained more. Grimiore is not an excuse. Plus are we being forced to watch the cutscenes because that's all the story we're gonna get? The Crota DLC was cool but there was hardly any story to it. We know hardly anything about the factions, the speaker, the stranger, the awoken, the exos, the vanguard etc. All we have had is 'look these things exist' and that's it. We just want some depth. Like I said the gameplay is amazing but people are starting to get a bit bored of the repetitiveness. You also get a feeling of scaled back because some of the voices for the characters that barely do anything are very recognisable. I'm ranting... I just want more story, less cash in.
