Agree with you on the Lag, Map design, and AR nerf issues. Disagree on everything else. This is not Halo.

 • There's the Master Chief Collection.....if that's your thing. I find this PvP much more interesting and much more challenging, mentally.

 • That seem to want to make it more like Halo. In which case, is it really something *new* that you want....or something *familiar* in a new pacikage?

 • Haha :D I want a new world and like most of the new mechanics. But in some cases i like mechanics they used in halo more because they feel better developed and more balanced.

 • Because they are more balanced. The Crucible isn't SUPPOSED to be balanced...and PvP will NEVER be "balanced" in THAT WAY as long as it is part of an integrated, LOOT-BASED RPG like Destiny is. Think about it.... Why go out and grind for NEW gear, if the new gear is "balanced" and doesn't really perform any different or any better than your OLD gear?? Sort of defeats the point.....

 • As usual, right on. I'll also add the only true metric by which guns should be modeled is accurate ballistics. Do that and everyone will have to accept what is. Doing it by feel, or because someone was able to quickly kill with a gun, will never find the vaunted Holy Grail of balance. We can argue what the true ballistics are, but in the end, like it or not, Bungie will have to take that stand. I've disagreed with them on this point occasionally, but I would have to respect a, "This is as accurate as we can make them" sort of approach.

 • I never thought it would be easy to balance that much stuff. But there are games that did a better job with that. Dark sould comes to my mind here... and the souls series was never meant to be balanced or fair at all. So i disagree here. It is just hard to balance all stuff for pvp. But it is possible or lets say it could be executed better if they just tried and dont just kill entire weapon classes. But you may be right with destiny pvp isnt meant to be balanced. But than i would have to ask whats the point of it than? Smash players with less good gear and make fun of them if they think its unfair? I doubt that. And i am for sure one of the best equipped players out there. Still think this can not be what they intended to. Think about damage scaling for blue and green weapons. This is a hint towards there should be balance.

 • The "games that do it better" ARENT' games that are part of a LOOT-BASED ROLE-PLAYING GAME. Where people are expected to go out and grind to get newer----and BETTER----gear. The point of PVP is that a human opponent always presents a fresh challenge, because he is intelligent, cunning and creative in a manner that no computer program can duplicate. ' The Crucible isn't a twitch shooter. Its is a BATTLE ARENA......think of it as more of a MOBA with guns. Where the player is tasked with using his gear and his skill and knowledge to create mis-matches. Another player's "better gear" is only a problem if I keep trying to beat that person at his STRENGTH....rather than take advantage of his weaknesses. The Last Word is a formidable weapon up close. But it won't help the guy who has it if I'm slicing him to pieces with Arc Blade.....hit him with a shotgun or a fusion rifle as he rounds a corner.... .....or blow his head off from across the map with a sniper rifle. Which is why I'm never here asking for anyone else's weapon to be "nerfed". Because---with the exception of the very early versions of Suros Regime and the Mythoclast----every weapon in this game has a weakness or limitation that can be exploited to an opponents advantage.

 • Ok. I will accept your oppinion even though i cant share it. I would agree with you in real world conflicts. But this is a game. There should be balance so that your skill of using that stuff is the base to compete. And not the fact your gun has better perks, has no weakness or just the maps benefit you more than your opponent and his stuff.

 • ...and there ARE shooters in the marketplace that offer that play experience. I----personally---don't like them because they overwhelming favor the player with the fastest nervous system. They also don't encourage much in the way of tactical thinking, because the "balance" allows players to SHOOT their way out of mental mistakes. In ways that THIS game doesn't. Nothing wrong with games like that. I just don't find them very interesting. There are more "skills' than just the ability to react quickly and string together headshots.
