So basically my feeling on raid gear is that especially with HOW coming each set of raid gear should be equal in ligh but much better for the actual raid your playing. Im so sick of ALL guardians wearing Crota gear to have a 32 advantage.
Im also sick and tired of some of the best guns ever like the vision, found verdict and fatebringer which we worked hard to get become even more useless after HOW will go to 365 attack and simply leave them in the dust.
Does anyone know what bungies plan is for this? I mean Kabar`s anything is useless now. And while Oracle disruptor is a perk thats nice they stil have much better new guns to use on atheon.

They will not, just like they did with TDB DLC,it's obvious why....new content will attract new players,so fresh money in. They just did the same with TDB,it was a big favour to brand new players, they leveled up in no time without bothering with Raids. Today I met a level 32 with less than 2000 Grimoire, with only "ONE" Raid completion ( Crota normal) and no VoGs at all..... It's gonna be the same over and over.

2 RepliesI have An idea to where if you dismantle the newest raid gear you will get a shard that can be attached to any Armor so you get the new level cap and replace the skills you have on the Last armor you had an puts the newest raid perks on. This will it lead to a large coutomization for players

7 RepliesWell, the challenge who have to equal the light level. A level 26 raid should not yield level 34 armor (or 365 weapons.) So if they added maybe a level 32 or something to atheon, I would 100% agree. I personally like crota's end gear (not sure why everyone hates it) so I want the option to re-earn it at a higher light level that would be awesome. I also like the look of the raid weapons.

Edited by P0RKR0LL: 3/26/2015 4:36:53 PMI think their plan may be to just release a new set of difficulties with new gear at higher light lvl. Say something like VoG lvl 34/36. I've seen a list of Vog gear on a site with different names than I was familiar with. Actually, just found a pretty recent vid, but this is different than what I had seen previously. He's also got a Shadow Price with high damage, so I guess they're still trying some things out.

No they're asshats.
-
6 RepliesBungie has said that they don't like the way that TDB basically invalidated the VOG and are trying to work out a system to keep the old stuff relevant once HoW drops. We'll have to wait and see what system they come up with.

Why are you sick of seeing a player with raid gear on? I read your post but it kind of makes no sense. What is your point? Are you butthurt over something? Did fellwinters lie snipe you from 100 yards?
-
No. Your lucky our old exotics are upgradable because most MMOS leave behind their highest tiers
-
1 ReplyI read a post a while back about having 2 armor slots per category. The first slot would be your actual light level while the second would act as a place holder. This gives you the ability to be at the max light level while choosing any armor of your choice for appearance, I will be the first to admit that there is some awesome looking rare and common gear. It would at least give us a bit more of a customizable feel and look to our characters. I personally like the look of the VOG gear slightly more than CE gear.

I wish they would. I'm just starting to get a full set of Vault gear for my Warlock and it looks awesome. I know why they won't though, and honestly I'm torn with the reasoning. Vault gear and weapons are supposed to become obsolete because new weapons and gear would come out at regular intervals and players would want to get them and replace their old armor and weapons happily. Unfortunately, this hasn't been the case. The new crop of weapons have been sub-par, and the armor is just atrocious. They aren't getting better with each offering, they're at best making lateral moves. When players would rather have vanilla weapons, or are desperate to get only one weapon, regardless of other options, there's a serious problem. I have a feeling this is caused in part by the absolute uselessness of all content below level 20. They wasted an opportunity for us to be satisfied with so many weapons and gear options through those levels that now when we're above 20, and there are fewer options, we're feeling the pinch and want to keep our older gear.

If Ur having trouble getting the armor do crota normal the drop rate for armor is alot higher than hard mode
-
Drop tower light level Put in a light exchange for raid gear Done
-
I hope they improve it. I still wear the helmet because it just looks amazing. The new raid gear looks narsty! Makes no sense as vog is a million times harder than Crota.
-
VoG weapons are still very powerful. I use my fatebringer as if my life depends on it. Vision is amazing as well. You just need to use them in the right activity.
-
I think one of the main issues in the VoG weapons is that they were over-powered. Not in PvE (although, being a christmas n00b, i'm not sure if VoG weapons were more prevalent back in the glory days), just think about how much strong Fatebringer compared to the Word. There's a significant difference. The mythoclast is, to my knowledge, locked in the constucts of time and will never see full 331, let alone 365. I may be way wrong, and HoW will introduce some pretty nasty perks to it's raid weapons, but to me it just seems that VoG weapons are a cut above CE. maybe two cuts.
-
They better upgrade it
-
They need to add a very hard mode to Vog. Like level 32 or something like that. It would have level 32 quality gear and weapons. Also feature a new exotic raid weapon, only obtainable in very hard mode. What that weapon could be, I don't know.
-
One word NO
-
5 RepliesUpdating old gear doesn't make any sense. It renders new gear pointless.
-
My idea you need the new raid gear and if you max it out you can change it to updated VOG gear same with weapons so you need the raid gear but can have strong vault weapons
-
Yes. But only by adding new raid gear to make your old and existing gear more obsolete. So your existing raid gear is being upgraded from Windows 3.11 to DOS.
-
Probably not. Instead, I can see Bungie implement new raid gear with higher light levels instead, especially we see higher level raids beyond current hard modes.
-
Yes, i believe that they will increase the light level after the next DLC is released in I believe may. Bungie also said that they were not going to make that same mistake again grinding for whoever knows long just to get to a higher level.
-
Edited by AndyGood0820: 3/25/2015 7:21:28 PMYes, especially considering that it's STILL harder to get a full set of VoG gear than lvl 32 crota gear. If vault of glass gear could be lvl 32, I would never wear the armor from crota. I like the way VoG stuff performs and I think it looks cooler. I'd rather my hunter look like a sleek futuristic killing machine instead of a trippy sci-fi witch doctor. To each their own, I'd just like the choice. And, I don't want to put fatebringer in the vault for HoW. I really don't.
-
They should, they won't.

VOG gear mainly
