Anyone remember purple Engram drops?

I got three in the last two days. One turned into an exotic helm. However, I went through a good several month drought before this week.

So disappointing to have one drop, spend like 5 minutes of the nightfall clearly enemies to get to it, then find out it's just a class item legendary engram.
