Iron Banner is full of idiots
I am tired of carrying people in games. The constant pain of collecting medallions over and over again due to useless scrubs. Now, I don't profess to be amazing at PvP as it isn't my sole focus, but I can usually hold my own in a match. What I am finding is the sheer number of clueless -blam!-s who run about capping the nearest point, or rock a 279 damage weapon. Save that shit for normal PvP, don't roll with crap gear, stick to the guns you are proficient with.
Under level 30? Don't bother mate, stick to normal PvP. Don't be afraid to step out of your starting area and actually go on the offensive, or maybe cap B for once? That tent you've pitched in the bushes on Venus isn't helpful. Don't sit at the back of the map with a sniper rifle in the same spot every game and not get a single cap, I shouldn't have to carry you, and if you are near a cliff edge understand this; I will push you off. See that heavy ammo spawn? It isn't all about you, wait for your team to get to you unless the enemy are close.
Basic map knowledge. Most people seem to be about as useful as a chocolate fireguard in this department. Learn the maps, the fastest routes and where the bottlenecks are. You are no good to a team if you don't go out and explore the maps. Use your grenade to funnel players down a different path, and for -blam!-s sake as a Warlock stop using Fireborn. Got a fresh piece of gear from Xur or the Nighfall with no upgrades unlocked? Take that shit elsewhere my friends, Iron Banner isn't the place to make a fashion statement. I know your Praxic Fire looks pretty cool but you don't have the unique upgrade unlocked so GTFO!

Edit 2: So for this Iron Banner week my aim is the Efrideet's Spear sniper rifle, which has some pretty nice perks as standard. What are you all aiming for this week?

Fix the server problems, the lag is horrible you would think they would have dedicated servers for PvP.

I don't remember the map but I was playing with random players and when the match started I ran straight for zone B and got a position to pin down the enemy team so my team can capture the zone. So after a few seconds of suppressing the other team I die and look to see if they have got zone B yet. But no my team thought it was smart to have everyone capture zone C and then come for B. So the enemy team gets B and we end up losing the match.

Done venting? If so understand that it is just a game on the end. People play how they want to play. They will need to find out themselves when things will not work. I agree anyone under 30 should be advised not to enter. Don't let a group of randoms ruin your good time

Granted I don't have a killer KD ratio, but knowing the map and using only maxed weapons and being level 32. I agree with this guy. The iron banner is a try hard fest for pvp players and many take it serious, but also it is just a game event for all to take part in. It should be limited to 31 or higher to keep the playing field more level to keep the lower levels out just add a mid to higher 20's match making to the game mode and the field of play will become more competitive

Totally agree with this. Iron banner isn't really much fun this time around. Prbly only gona grind out to rank 4 on Sunday and call it quits. I already have both weps. Just want the helmet lol As the closest thing to a competitive pvp mode iron banner is filled with people intent on making their team lose apparently. I'm not too good at pvp 1.28 k/d but I can at least contribute to the team.

On Blind Watch and Delphi Base I give my team one minute if we spawn on the losing side. If no one even attempts to spawn flip I leave. Saved a lot of annoyance that way

This is why we NEED clash! So we don't have teams that are stacked against people like us. All my friends are either offline or playing a different game and I have to solo IB. Do you know what it is like? It is hell! If we had clash I would win more often because all I need to do is kill my opponents. It also gives you a better chance to win. Control you can get 50 kills and lose but that never happens in clash. If you get 50kills in Clash then you win. If you are not good and under leveled just stick to normal crucible and stay away from IB. IB is a game mode where we need to win and can't do that if our team is clueless.

I agree but I played as a level 29 and got 37 kills in a match. Not all people under level 30 suck. Just most of them do.

Don't say that you carry when, based on your match history, you don't. Complain about what you will, but don't try to make it seem like you're better than everyone else. We can see that your above average, but not carrying.

Bro, I'm level 29. Can't say that I am on top all the time. I don't use exotics. I use 1 legendary, and it's a heavy. People get #rekt. With blue.

Thing that pisses me off the most is when people just don't know the map and grab the wrong point. I never remember the names of the maps but I will say this: If you don't know what points are good and bad for a specific map. DONT CAPTURE A. This can literally screw your team over and make your 3000 lead disappear in seconds. I can't even tell you how many games yesterday we were leading the whole time to lose in the last 30 seconds because of this.
