I am tired of carrying people in games. The constant pain of collecting medallions over and over again due to useless scrubs. Now, I don't profess to be amazing at PvP as it isn't my sole focus, but I can usually hold my own in a match. What I am finding is the sheer number of clueless -blam!-s who run about capping the nearest point, or rock a 279 damage weapon. Save that shit for normal PvP, don't roll with crap gear, stick to the guns you are proficient with.
Under level 30? Don't bother mate, stick to normal PvP. Don't be afraid to step out of your starting area and actually go on the offensive, or maybe cap B for once? That tent you've pitched in the bushes on Venus isn't helpful. Don't sit at the back of the map with a sniper rifle in the same spot every game and not get a single cap, I shouldn't have to carry you, and if you are near a cliff edge understand this; I will push you off. See that heavy ammo spawn? It isn't all about you, wait for your team to get to you unless the enemy are close.
Basic map knowledge. Most people seem to be about as useful as a chocolate fireguard in this department. Learn the maps, the fastest routes and where the bottlenecks are. You are no good to a team if you don't go out and explore the maps. Use your grenade to funnel players down a different path, and for -blam!-s sake as a Warlock stop using Fireborn. Got a fresh piece of gear from Xur or the Nighfall with no upgrades unlocked? Take that shit elsewhere my friends, Iron Banner isn't the place to make a fashion statement. I know your Praxic Fire looks pretty cool but you don't have the unique upgrade unlocked so GTFO!
Who else feels this way?
Edit 1: Lets vent our Iron Banner hatred and get this trending!
Edit 2: So for this Iron Banner week my aim is the Efrideet's Spear sniper rifle, which has some pretty nice perks as standard. What are you all aiming for this week?

Edited by DeReal Brewster: 7/2/2016 7:49:00 PMI had a tickle reading your post.. I almost wanted to get on the defensive about low level/light characters joining activities, because in my opinion it's the best opportunity in outcome to advance you're character, but I refrained once I read through the end. LoL ~ totally in agreement, with those just sitting back for the job be done for them. It's a disadvantage for not only others, but themselves well. With my lower advanced characters, I pretty much give them too much courage and set them up as martyrs, but wise enough to sit back when I know I'm not strong enough to take on the big guy, (it's not much support if I'm putting my teammates at risk, constantly having to revive me repeatedly either) rather I'll cover my teammate/My only and pick off the little guys that get in his/her way and snipe off a clear pathway. It's small time, but it'll add up eventually. Why i like to hit the harder challenges, is pretty simple: I like the challenge, and like the advantage to level/advance quicker as well as the rewards.

Shit man you just took everything that I've ever thought about and stated it in the Perfect way. Bravo sir, bravo

124 RepliesEdited by Keto: 4/29/2015 7:15:06 PMLook. Every single person in Destiny is allowed to play and enjoy any section of this game no matter their skill level. Whether you're amazing or even average, you don't get to crap on players who are just here to have fun. No matter your skill level, nobody owns any section of the game, and anybody is allowed to play however they want to have fun. More than anything, I'm sick of players who have this egotistical and childish outlook on things like, "anybody who isn't at least as good as me in this game, doesn't deserve to play because it brings me down." Like who do these kind of people think they are? That high score of yours doesn't mean you get to dictate who gets to play. If you're too young to understand that, then you're actually the one bringing everyone else down. It boggles my mind that people who act that way don't realize how selfish and crappy of a person/player they're being. That's not how you play a team game. To be honest, that's not how you go through anything as a decent adult. You want to be a self absorbed, self proclaimed martyr or single-hero, bitching on about how poor you, had to "carry a team"? Go play Rumble. I've had so many games where we won or lost due to 50 points... Every kill matters, even that guy on your team with one kill, who tried, and hopefully still had fun, cause he's not there to listen to all the egotistical crappy players mouth off about how important they think they are. Being a decent adult requires simple empathy: If you were less good at something than someone else, but you still have fun and want to try... You don't want people spitting on you. Any person who does, is a crappy person. If someone is confused or unsure how something works, help the person out, cause I sure as hell know 90% of the people who are good at something, didn't start out that way, and the people who still aren't good at something are still allowed to enjoy it. Every player is allowed to enjoy every part of this game and have fun and challenge themselves to get the gear they want. Other people who feel differently have to get over themselves, otherwise those kind of selfish people become poison to the community. We all paid the same amount for this game. That means we all equally deserve the same opportunity to play all the same content, despite the whining of a few narcissistic people who think it's all about them.

1 ReplyYea same here im always getting 3000 or 4000+ points a game with a kd usually over 1.50 and we still lose because everyone is is retarded. I use bad juju and people with the last word can barely pull of 15 kills. Just grinding to lvl 3 for the spear and im done
-
1 ReplyI hate to lose as much as the next guy. I also know I can't win them all. Sure the main idea of a shooter, is to shoot stuff... But one thing that'll annoy the piss out of me more than getting FoH from around a corner, through a wall, is losing a game because I'm the only one trying to capture flags while the rest of my team is running in every which direction aside from assisting in a capture. Again, yes the idea is to shoot stuff, I know. But you still gotta cap flags or you may as well expect to lose 20k to less than 5k if you're lucky.
-
Yea why do I constantly get randoms that will not help capture an objective? They -blam!-ing go everywhere on the map and avoid the actually objective. Or they'll stand right next to it but not in it.

Edited by GoonerGuy8: 4/29/2015 10:10:34 PMCompletely agree m8 and always playing bloody anomaly pisses me off as well

Some valid points!!! I hope some will listen.

Wanna clear him out by Friday for my hunter. I'll probably be too fed up by then to do it with my subs but might go for the helmet and chest for my warlock
-
It came down to the point where every team my friend and I got onto sucked so bad our 5000 points each couldn't even save them
-
Stop effing grabbing heavy right away with 1 or less teammates around when the radar isn't pinging red at all.
-
I'm guessing your thinking that if your not 30+ you have no chance. I've gone top of the leader boards as lvl 29 using 300 damage weapons. But as you said though always use fully upgraded gear and weapons. Know which weapons you are good with.
-
Play with a team
-
Yup, thats why I usually run with a team

1 ReplyI'm aiming to see how much more of a douche canoe you can actually be.

3 RepliesI use no land beyond and wreck with it. Still carry 32's using red death -.- smh

2 RepliesAiming for last weeks weapons to drop... at least the assault rifle... I already have the Spear... have two speedy reload perks and it has been my go to ever since it dropped for me

I made a post like this about 3 IB events back so I feel for the OP in that if you are below lvl29 you really are a hinderance to your team. If your primary isn't maxed out...you are a hinderance. If you play IB, which is Control, like you are playing Clash....you are a hinderance. I won't be explosive like OP but I agree that not all toons are appropriate for IB. This will only escalate when the Trials open because there may be a small group in the community wanting to hit the Trials at lvl 20 for example.

Edited by Roada Rolla: 4/29/2015 10:15:24 PMI'm so -blam!-ing tired of getting 4-5 thousand points and failing to win. I'm not the best at PvP as you can tell by my KD- -blam!- THAT MY WIN LOSS RATIO IS GREAT AND I HAVE A GOOD DTR AND OVERALL COMBAT RATING. I hold my team up. I'm not a scrub that uses thorn all day. I use a mix of the handcannons, Red Death, Vex, and Mida. I capture points and kill. I'm not afraid to rush the enemy get 2-4 or even 5 kills and die so you -blam!-s can capture it. If I sacrifice my life you scrubs better have your asses on the point I just cleared capturing and defending it until I get back. God dammit.
-
2 RepliesI share your frustration. I was trying to find a group who didn't mind my low K/D a little earlier. I think that is the key to getting it done in IB. get with a group then you can communicate the common strategies that people seem to miss like don't cap all the zones, and for got sake, hold that heavy ammo for the rest of your team if you aren't in immediate danger
-
I have the same struggle, I would run with a fire team but lots of my freinds have quit so i gotta play with randoms
-
Just find a group that you can talk to. Communicating even if you're playing with average players makes a huge difference. Just try and be leader so you can kick anyone who is being a d-bag
-
A good way to combat that, play during school hours or bed time, cuts down the riff raff by at least 50%.

1 ReplySo much lag and glitch kills
