No they won't, if you read the bullet it says traitor. That means the UNSC is after him, but that doesn't mean he'll die. I like to hope the game will end with him and Cortana, living together on a farm with two kids. How nice. And unrealistic:)

Haha. Many have found a word on the other side of the bullet saying hero

I think that's the point. I'm not sure. The bullet DOES say traitor so I don't know where they got hero from. But maybe it's suppose to signify something about chiefs heroisms versus him leaving the UNSC. That's why he's in a robe in the desert, trying to hide. I think he's gone rouge in an attempt to find cortana. That's why Agent Lock is after him. I don't think he's going to get killed off.
