Requiring 32 for vault of glass?
All over destiny lfg all everyone says is must be 32. I don't understand why? We used to do that shit with lvl 30s lol. I just think it's funny!

I can understand maybe with hard but even then it's only level 30 so aslong as everyone has decent weapons dunno why it should matter buuuut I will add I'm a level 32 and the hob goblins where still ripping through me but I am a hunter so it's expected :S

....is complete bullshit. It is a level 30 raid. I have all 32s, but frequently bump down for VoG to 30 or 31 because I like using vault gear still and being 30 is the same as 32

My clan used to run it with 29s. Just speaks to their inability to complete a raid so they think they need the highest level players only.

Anything 30 or over on vog on hard does the same damage as that's the max level of the enemies

That's because a 32 doesnt mean anything anymore as far as vog goes. Just tonight I had a 32 in my lfg group who grabbed the relic and stood there with it. He didn't have a clue on what to do. 32 gear is crota gear most of the people who got the game for Christmas have barely any hard vog experience. I only ask for 31+ but I understand why people try to get 32's. The kids who dont have a clue what's going on dont tell you that because then they wouldn't find a group to teach them so they pretend they know. Which causes me and a lot of other groups a lot of wiping before the truth finally comes out that this is their 3rd time doing vog and its the 1st time its on hard...

7 RepliesI'm hardly ever level 32 when running vault of glass. I'll equip vault of glass gauntlets and helmet, drop down to 31, and have better perks than all your crota raid armor. VOG Helmet: killing a vex with critical hit has a chance to spawn an orb or killing a vex with a melee has a chance to spawn an orb. Gauntlets: Anti Oracle disruptor (dealing more damage to oracles) or Anti praetorian (I think deals more damage or has a chance to spawn an orb when killing praetorians. Not to mention, vision of confluence, along with the other vog weapons, are your best friend when running vault

7 RepliesThose posts are funny. But I think what they are trying to do is weed out less experienced players. A lot of people don't want to teach as they go. I am the opposite and love to have newer players that are willing to give it multiple tries and finally succeed. But I have had a few random raid groups that won't touch the relic, and are not there to learn.... They are there for free rewards, plain and simple. Usually that is when I say "no one experienced should touch the relic. Only newbies. Time to learn!" And across the bottom of the screen you can watch all the freeloaders exit the fireteam. The ones that want to learn, stay and are rewarded. Even if it's just some outdated armor, and an Atheon's epilogue, they are so pumped to get their first raid clear. Makes it fun for me.

(If you don't it's bc you expect others to do it for you, either laziness or self consciousness is to blame- those are unacceptable) Everyone should know to shoot oracles and move forward TOGETHER. Everyone should know that venus/future is on the right and you throw grenades. Mars/past is on the left and you do nothing but shoot oracles Everyone should know supplicants are stupid jihadist.... stay away. Everyone should know that gorgons detect by sight AND sound. (Jumping, falling to hard, sliding, going invisible, punching, shooting, and again going invisible will get you caught.... don't get caught) Everyone should know not to shoot rockets at templar after his shield drops, as well as atheon after he teleport your team Everyone should know that if you get marked you need to go cleanse I'm sure I missed things but if you find that you don't know any or some of these things then you need to go ask/research/youtube and learn this shit. Contribute to your team by learning these things before your first run through vault. It's not much to ask and all of us who carry you new guys on our back did this. I have no problem helping new ppl but if you refuse to do something bc your scared or inexperienced then I'll highly consider booting you.... got no time for ppl who won't pull their own weight.

29 RepliesIt's because you have newbie 32's with like 1900 Grimoire Scores running around. Bungie made leveling up easy as can be compared to how it was for us Day One players. I no longer care about light level, it's a joke. You see 32's with RARE weapons or barely leveled legendaries. They just grind for gear and mats. A lot of them have friends who carry them through raids to get to 32 also. A lot of 32's are awful, I mean really awful at this game. We didn't have it easy, we got better by having to play our butts off. Does anyone remember the struggle to get to 30?? You could run VOG like 40 times and barely hit 30. I ran Crota 5 times with my Warlock that I have had for less than three weeks. Guess what? My Warlock is a 32. Smh

3 RepliesYeah I think its hilarious when people say they cant hold the relic because they are only a 31. All I can think is man I remember when being a level 30 meant you were the big dog and you were expected to grab the relic. I also remember getting through the confluxes(as well as the rest of the raid) with level 29s. Now if I get a group of all 32s from lfg its not guaranteed we will make it lol.

29 is all that is needed to contribute. Level 30 is a more reasonable request, anything after that isn't needed

I took my friend through who is a 27 and hasn't played Destiny in months (he has the Queens guard armour equipped) and he was fine. However we had a 31 and a 32 in the Fire team who hadn't done VoG and were constantly screwing up and dying regardless of their level.
