How can you not have any HEAVY AMMO in your inventory???
My God people I have a simple question pertaining to the CROTA checkpoint... How. Can you not have any Heavy Ammo in reserve in your inventory?
Why is it everytime you have to do the heavy ammo glitch?
There is no excuse anymore to say you left it in your vault because you can access the vault thru your app now.
As I press X to consume a Heavy, there u are expending all your ammo for 5 minutes as I wait. It's just dumb in my opinion.
My argument is we shouldn't have to do it every time we wipe. That's all.

calm down. i can do heavy ammo glitch in less than 30 seconds using NLB. under 1 minute with TLW. besides, then you have enough heavy to kill swordbearer FAST and then enough heavy for 2nd pass at Crota. Or, you can waste strange coins and or glimmer and or black wax idols.

So heavy packs on the ground>heavy ammo synthesis. It's not about how many, I have almost 400 packs, it's about timing and solving potential problems before they become so.

I'm always low on glimmer and buy too much stuff from xur to buy synth with coins. I only buy my synth from eris, which is far less efficient and the black wax idols are difficult to grind

I will bump players on hard mode if they don't have heavy synth. On normal I understand players are lower level and less experienced. If I am taking a group through normal I might do the glitch so I can shoot two rockets per kneel and have some for the ogres. Level 30 players usually have the worst rocket launchers if any at all.

It's impossible. But the heavy glitch takes 10 seconds and everyone is full at all times. I've been screwed over a lot because the damn cooldown timer

Edited by CascadeRanger: 3/21/2015 8:40:07 PMI used to never buy heavy ammo synth and I STILL had like five in reserve. I don't live off them like "pro" players. I only use it if absolutely needed. With that said. I still have about 40+ and it's been lasting me for quite some time.

15 RepliesIts all because of the 5 min cooldown. I use 4 rockets on the first sword and 2 for the swordbearer so what the hell am i gonna use for the 2nd sword if am still on cooldown?

If you take 2 minutes.. 2 small minutes to do the am no glitch at the beginning the team can then shoot rockets at everything.. This speeding up the process in the end. Get over yourself and just wait two minutes. There is a 5 minute cool down with synth anyway.

1 ReplyI shoot rockets like it's raining down hell fire. Synthesis doesn't give me enough rockets for 5min. Only gives me 8 Truth rockets. I like to have over 20 rockets every 5min for fun. If you are popping synthesis. I know you will likely switch to sniper or primary before that 5min is up unless you only shoot one rocket at a time. Which is boring. I'll be shooting 3 every kneel, and maybe one up at the sky to provide fireworks. Just cuz overkill is fun. And that's just my rockets. My team is shooting multiple Ghorn rockets, and blasting holes through Crotas nutts leaving him in a pool of shart.

The few things that make me kick people are 1. Heavy ammo glitch. (This just pisses me off and I report them for cheating and unsporting) 2. Being that one guy that rushes out early, getting himself killed immediately, and getting the team killed. 3. "Is this blue machine gun okay?" Or "is it okay to use no land beyond? It has this perk where your luck improves when using it longer. (Untrue on many levels)" (read in a "stupid guy" voice, slightly lower than yours and slightly dumber sounding...) 4. People who think it's okay to fire only one rocket at crota, when there are not enough 32s to take him down with 4 gally rockets. 5. People who think they're better than someone else because of gear, levels, country of origin, accent, or are just plain bigoted. Personally, if murder was legal, bigoted people would all be dead right now if I had my way.

Synth has 5min cool down. So say we are starting and I use a synth. After 2 rounds of downing Crota I'm out of rockets and still have a cool down timer. If there is no heavy ammo around we fail to down him as needed that last time on hard mode. Last night we did many tries before killing Crota on hard. We did much better on the tries that we took the time to do the ammo glitch. I use up the heavy ammo dropped on the first few rounds of downing Crota and then used my synth for the final and most critical downing.

5 RepliesMe using heavy synth is entirely dependent on the team I play with. If we have a good SB and everyone on my team has a tracking rocket then I will pop a synth bc I know we can down crota in 1-2 tries. But if I playing with randoms that don't know what they are doing, I refuse to waste 5+ synth to maybe get some shards. I will be using the heavy ammo glitch. Takes less than a minute with IB and a hand cannon

I'll give it 2 or 3 times just in case we need a "practice" run. After that I start getting aggravated and telling people to just use synth. You should have a healthy stockpile by now. The point of buying them is to USE them! Don't even get me started when people do the glitch on easy mode... (hopefully you don't even have to go back into the Crystal room for more ammo, it should be that easy by now)
