depends on class.
for all classes if in open area and no super jump really really high as much as possibly.
titan - fist of havoc, otherwise run and get distance.
if defender, get distance and use surpressor grenade.
hunter - as bladedancer blink away to get distance
as gunslinger get distance and golden gun
warlock - nova bomb
sun signer get distance and throw sticky nades.

You can't blink with gunslinger.

i edited the post to make it more clear first line was one sunclass the second line is the other.
