If you haven't hit anything past 50 yards with a pistol, I suggest you get more range time. I have seen people hit targets up to 300 yards out with a pistol. Easy, no. But can it be done, yes. Also it is easy to hit moving targets. Just lead them. You posting this, proves how little you know about shooting guns.

In real life shotguns have a massive range, and you put a slug round in a shotgun your opponent will be lucky to get a bullet into you before they have a couple grams of lead inside themselves
-
Yeah this From guy has no idea what they are talking about. Obviously never has used a real gun.
-
Although I don't own a firearm I often go to my buddies cabin in the summer and we can take down a deer at 200 yards

Hunting out of season ain't cool, bro.

^this Is a very inaccurate statement buddy
-
How is it inaccurate? I can show you the videos of someone hitting targets out at 300 yards with a pistol. Google "instructor zero" and moving targets are damn easy to hit if you know what you are doing. The military and police train to hit moving targets.
-
They train to hit moving targets with a hail of bullets. Did you know most enlisted army aren't issued a pistol? Because they're given an automatic weapon. Also this is why someone shot by police is hardly ever shot once; they're taught to put lead down range quickly.
-
When I was in the army, the M4 was not automatic. They haven't had those since Vietnam. I had a pistol as well. We trained on hitting moving targets. Plus the only weapons that are fully automatic are the machine guns. So I do not know where you are getting your information, but you are wrong.

Edited by Tibbaryllis2: 3/19/2015 3:15:08 PMEither you're in the services and know what I'm saying is true: only marksmen aren't taught to put as much led as possible down range, or you're one of those guys who like to steal valor. So either you're being purposely misleading or outright lying. Either way that means you're full of shit and no one should give you the time of day. Edit: Muted to save you the time of trying to come up with a reply.

Edited by Crummy Ninja: 3/19/2015 4:32:02 PMYeah, the M4 is a select-fire weapon. And I'm not sure who goes through Basic and qualifies with a pistol by "only shooting at moving objects". But in 11B you do throw tons of lead downrange when your SAW gunner is reloading.
-
Thank you. While not in the service myself, woulnt want to steal anyone's valor, a buddy of mine is career army. I was surprised when I found at a majority of them aren't issued side arms and they're not allowed to carry knives bigger than the standard Multitool.
-
Yeah, the sidearm (other than Military Police) is pretty much Special Forces stuff. And "stolen valor" is a drag, when you reflect on how much real soldiers have sacrificed.
-
Edited by Tibbaryllis2: 3/19/2015 11:06:55 PMYeah it's a real catch 22, you hate to be skeptical of anyone claiming to be military but at the same time that unquestioning acceptance is what these ass hats feed on. My buddy is in SF, which is why I know the standard army isn't trained to be handgun marksmen, let alone trained to engage targets with pistols at several hundred yards on moving combatants. Lol

Just ask them what their MOS was, and if it takes then more than a second to answer, you can immediately figure they're full of shit.
