To the idiots saying it takes skill to get iron banner gear, please stop trolling. You're stupidity in a nutshell. I just sat back and rubber banded my controller and got rank five last time in four days. All of your arguments are invalid.

The only good ib was the first one where you are not rewarded for losing. And none of the bonus rep medallions bs. IB is a joke now. But i wouldnt start bragging about raid gear either. I guarantee most of the people crying cant even sword on crota normal and got carried. I wear a mix of gear depending on its specific perks they offer.

Yea. I personally hate the fake 32 bullshit. I would love it if people could sword Crota on hard. It is probably so relaxing to not have to sword.

Not being funny but with how badly setup the pvp in this game is let alone the crap that happens in iron banner it's more fun to probably AFK it and play flash games on your phone than "compete" in crucible/iron banner as it atleast doesn't leave you confused, annoyed or just irritated at how stupidly broken it is i.e connection , latency and awhile heap of other stuff

And how long did it take you each time to hit level 5? Crota can be run in 30 minutes and for half of it you practically do nothing.

yes, but you don't get all the Raid gear in one run, more like maybe 4-8 runs to get all the gear you need now, i agree that it takes longer to get to Rank 5 in IB, but that wasn't the point, the point was whether it's 'HARDER' (i.e. more difficult)

Crota's end isn't hard though is it... It's ridiculously easy. If players are trying to win in IB and keep losing it gets frustrating because they're doing their best which makes it hard for them to gain rep and carry on. I'm not talking about afkers here. They're just scum tbh

Iron Banner gear is harder to obtain and takes way longer. Maybe if there wasnt so many cheesers it would be harder to obtain 32 gear... But probably not.

You have one chance per week to get raid gear, then need 21 radient shards to upgrade them. If you don't get 2 of the pieces in one run you're beat for a week. You can get to iron banner rank 4 in 2 days and can just buy the gear and upgrade it with ascendant shards that everyone has a shit ton of. Please tell me how getting Rng weekly loot is easier than guaranteed loot for glimmer

That is only one piece. Maybe two pieces. So you can buy two pieces MAX when IB is here. Then IB is gone for weeks. With raid gear, you can reach 32 without having a full set. So you may only get one piece from this weeks raid.. Along with that come the shards/energy for the week. Assuming you only have 1 Character, you are done for that week. Many players have duplicate characters, making it even easier to obtain to gear needed for 32. Now lets talk about the raid itself... It can be completed by one person and there are numerous cheese opportunities. It has taken some people 25 minutes to beat the normal raid by themselves. In theory, you could not even do anything at all in a raid and be rewarded with all gear needed to be a 32. Most people cheese the bridge or are dead while someone else actually does the work to get them through the raid. Even if you are contributing throughout the raid and in a good fireteam, the raid itself is just too easy and takes no time at all.. Whereas, the "two days" you spoke of earlier seems like much more of a grind than a 30-45 min raid.... Just my two cents

You are ignoring the fact that the full set is never on sale all at one time. First is was just 36 boots, then 36 gloves, then chest. That's 3 months for the set, all having to get to rank 4 each time.

I never said anything about getting a full set of ib gear... Just getting pieces of gear when it's available. What I am saying, is if iron banner is available, it's easier to obtain a guaranteed piece of gear for glimmer than it is to rely on Rng in the raid. I also never said I agreed with people saying "if you use ib gear you're not a real 32" just that piece for piece, if It's available, ib gear is easier to get

I think "easier" is subjective. When you have your team run for zone a to flip the spawn on Shores Of Time for the 4th straight loss in a row over several days, I'd take cheesing the raid using my friend's CE checkpoint on any day...
